SOURCE: Err 1 message on Taylor Lithium Elec Scale model 7346

This is a reply I received from Taylor customer support. I have followed this procedure enough times to wear out the original battery and still get the Err 1 message. You may have better luck.

Thank you for your e-mail. The reboot below may clear the error from
your scale. You may need to do this several times to completely reboot
the system. Please let us know if you have any questions or continue to
display the Error.

1. Remove the battery from the scale
2. Set the scale on the floor without the battery in place.
3. Stand on the scale for 10 seconds (still without the battery)
4. Carefully replace the battery without turning the scale on.
5. Using only one foot, tap the scale or apply just enough pressure to
turn on the display. (It should show dashes or zero's) IMMEDIATELY
REMOVE YOUR FOOT.
6. Let the scale turn off
7. Step on the scale for a weight reading

SOURCE: I have a healthometer scale,

Welcome to FixYa!

1. The Platform on which you stand may be hitting the base of the scale. The corner that your heels are on is adjustable from the bottom of the base. Turn the scale over on its side and remove the round plastic foot. Insert an Allen wrench into the now exposed hole and turn the screw to raise that corner of the platform.

Note: If you adjust one corner, be sure to adjust the opposite corner to keep the platform levelor.

2. Look under the base of the scale and make sure no foreign item is lodged into the base and that no parts have come out of the base.

Thank you for using FixYa!

I replaced the batteries of my Omron Karada Scale BF511 and it's been showing Err. When I step on it, the scale reads up to a 110kg (and I weigh 76kg) before reading Error. Please help.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Make sure the scale is on a flat, stable surface: Uneven or unstable surfaces can affect the accuracy of the readings. Place the scale on a hard, level floor and ensure it is not wobbling.
2. Check the battery installation: Double-check that the new batteries are inserted correctly, following the polarity markings inside the battery compartment. Ensure there is good contact between the batteries and the terminals.
3. Calibrate the scale: Some digital scales require calibration after battery replacement or when experiencing issues. Check the user manual for instructions on how to calibrate your specific model. Calibration usually involves placing a known weight on the scale and adjusting it accordingly.
4. Clean the scale: Dirt, dust, or debris on the scale's surface or sensors can interfere with accurate readings. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the scale, ensuring it is dry before use.
5. Try weighing yourself multiple times: Step on and off the scale a few times to see if the error persists. This can help determine if the issue is consistent or intermittent.

Walgreens digital bathroom scales. It is weighing us 40 lighter then normal. I've changed batteries, no luck. How can I get it back to weighing us normally?

Have you tried stepping on the scale then immediately stepping off the scale allowing it to read "000" ?
This should reset your scales to read true weight!

My healthometer digital bathroom scale got wet and it won't turn on., i replaced the battery and it still won't work, the digital screen has not activity

Place the scale in a dry environment for a few days. Forced air from a fan may assist drying if the pc board did not short out. If it did short out, the pc board would have to be replaced,if possible, otherwise the scale may not be repairable.
