Hi there,
this is only a problem if you don't have a copy of the installation cd for the programs that were removed... other than that you can always reinstall them again, when ever you need too.... as it relates to norton ... try to install as soon as possible .. you dont want to catch a virus on your system....

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

  2. Click to select Status & Settings and double-click Personal Firewall to display the Program Control screen.
  3. Click the Program Control tab:
    • If the Manual Program Control list is empty, click Program Scan to look for programs that use the Internet.
    • If the Manual Program Control list is not empty, click all the check boxes and press Delete and then OK.
  4. Click the Program Scan tab to display the Program Scan window.
  5. Click to check the scan boxes under choose the drivers you want to scan.
  6. Click Next to allow the Program Scan to list all the Internet-enabled programs found on your computer.
  7. Click All to select all or check the box next to each program name to select the programs that you want to create firewall rules for and click Finish.
new_note.jpg Note: All the programs that you select appear in the Program Control dialog box. In almost all cases, you do not need to modify the Internet Access or Category options. If you do need to modify these options, click the triangle to the left of the option in the Internet Access column and select the change.
  1. Click OK to return to the Norton Internet Security main window.
  2. Re-enable Norton Internet Security and launch the program that is having difficulties accessing the Internet.
  3. If the application now works with your Internet connection, you have successfully created firewall rules for the programs you selected.
If the application is still not working with your Internet connection, proceed to Check if a rule in Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall is Blocking Internet Access

How can I get rid of CA parental control? I never set it up!

AntiSpyware 2008 is a rogue anti-spyware program from the developers as Antivirus 2009. This program is advertised through misleading and deceptive web sites that pretend to be malware scanners that find infections on your computer They do this to scare you into thinking your infected, even though a web site can't possibly know this, in the hopes that you will download and install the AntiSpyware 2008 program. If you decide to install it, the program will scan your computer and come back with a list of security risks found on your computer that you cannot remove unless you first purchase a license of the software. It is important to remember that these people are preying on your fear and for the most part you do not have the infection they say you do.

You know i don't know why everyone wants one of those expensive virus programs. I wouldn't use norton at all. it takes control of your computer. if you get in your computer uninstall norton and here is a free antivirus. It has a paid version but hey i don't have any problems with the free.
