Hi
I am not sure if this can solve your problem, but for me I had trouble with my cd-rom and therefore couldn't get to use my installation cd, tried at first to see if the plug and play would find new hardware, and got the same as you.(Found hardware but nothing else). Anyway after transfering to another PC I was able to get the CD Files and convert them into a zip.
So download these 2 files;
1 (
http://www.4shared.com/file/62795767/eab01c80/Motorola_Phone_Tools_part1.html) &
2 http://www.4shared.com/file/62801586/73949205/Motorola_Phone_Tools_dll_files.html, and
1.Unzip/extract file 1
2.Unzip/extract file 2 (dll)
3.Add
all the files in file 2 to
file 1. Without adding it in a seperate folder.(
see screenshot)
Once you've got them all, use the data connection/USB CONNECTION (
as it will say on the screen of your mobile). Plug in your USB Cable, should automatically get new hardware found or try using the
mphonetools (says you gotta register, but pass that if you want). You should then get a K1 model phone on your desktop. (
dublicate-cyper version of your own cellphone). The rest I'm sure you can figure it out ;)
Best of luck to you and others with the same problem. (If it works please rate fairly) :D
