My loptop is so slow and how can i fix the error

Hi aljon toyo

Your computer running slow could be indicating a virus, trojan, worm,or other malware and also just too many old program and files.
To speed up your computer do the following in order.
1...Clean up your Disk: Click on Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup.Click on the files you want to get rid of here.
2...Defragment your Hard drive: Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter
3...Delete old files, programs, pictures, etc that you don't use anymore...this will free up hard disk space.
4...Install and Run Microsoft Safety Scanner...
Go to the following website and download, install and run the FREE Microsoft Safety Scanner.
It will remove the virus, trojans, worms, etc from your computer.
It may take quite a while to finish, it all depends on the size of your hard drive.
Once the Microsoft Safety Scanner is completed running, it should have removed the virus, trojan, worm, etc. from you computer, but if it didn't remove the virus, trojan, worm, etc from your computer then it will give you an option to connect (real time) with a Microsoft professional (FREE) and he will take over control of your computer (with you permission) and finish the removal process.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up

Computer is running real slow and cant find restore disc to redo computer

Hi dmwm1996

There is a few things you can do to speed your computer back up...
1...Clean up your hard disk...
Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup

2...Defrag your Hard Drive...
Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter

3...Add the maxium amount of ram to your computer that is allowed

4...Clean any old programs, files, pictures, etc off of your computer that you no longer use.

5...Last but not least...
Your computer may be loaded with spyware, virus's, trojans, etc. and that will make your computer run slow also.
To get rid of any spyware, virus, trojan, etc you will need to do the following:

Download, install and run Microsoft Safety Scanner...
It will clean your machine of spyware,virus's,trojans,worms...and the best part...it's FREE
Go to the following webpage and download Microsoft Safey Scanner.

Go to Malware Bytes and download the free malware scanner. That will find pretty much any virus that infects a computer.

Virus notice keeps popping up and unable to open any programs. i have had downloaded McAfee anitivirus and cannot get it to open

You require Norton AntiVirus from a disc as a clean boot will be required due to the virus "hiding" in the RAM.

My computer will not open any program. it says that they are all infected. I cannot open the internet to download a virus remover. It will not open sysytem restore either.

Remove the disk-drive from your computer.
Connect the disk-drive as a "slave" disk-drive in some other computer.
Update the anti-virus software on that computer.
Do a "deep" scan of all the files on that "slave" disk-drive, to eliminate the virus.
Return the "cleaned" disk-drive to your computer.

Note that "best practises" state that you never can be 100% sure that you have "cleaned" your computer, and the only 100% solution is to buy a new (faster, bigger) disk-drive, and to install Windows onto it. Then, copy all your data files from the "old" disk-drive to the "new" disk-drive.

Not loading when does it does its slow like slow 30min toload

Hi

Try this solution.

Restart your computer and press F8 to run on safe mode. After that restart again your computer. Running your computer on safe mode will fix and correct some errors because of faulty installed drivers, multiple drivers installed with same drivers or faulty software installed in your computer.

Also, run disk defragment on your computer by going to start menu, choose accessories, choose system tools, choose disk defragment and after this, restart again and it will run faster other than before.

If still slower, just run the system restore to restore the previous setting of your computer. Go to accessories, choose system tools, choose system restore and choose the date your want to restore.

I hope it helps you.

Gateway XRB6521010086 has a virus and wont boot us even from dos. Dont have my startup disc anymore

Do you have access to another computer with the same operating system? Perhaps you can create a startup disk using that computer?

If you can now start the computer, I have heard that you may be able to restore the computer to an earlier date (before the virus struck) which will "cure" the problem. I would imediately save "My Documents" to a CD or jump drive.

Personally I would "wipe" the hard drive and do a clean install, but have you lost the operating disks as well? If you still have the operating system, you may be able to use that as your startup disk. The advantage of this clean install is that you know that the virus is really gone. The disadvantage is that you have to reinstall all your drivers/programs - and update them - and you will lose all your documents/pictures/contacts, unless you backed them up elsewhere (see above).

If this is a brand-name computer, you may be able to obtain restore disks from the manufacturer. At the very least, you will be able to get the latest (updated) drivers once you get the operating system up and running.

I have a malicious virus...i tried Windows update virus removal..still have the block from accessing internet, asking to buy removal tool...tried restoring to factory settings upon restart..F10 doesnt...

jimmy_jon430

In regards to removing the virus when you did the factory restor did you actually to the restore of the restore partition on the hard drive or from restore disks. If it was from the restort partition it is possible that the virus spread to that drive.

If you have access to another computer then I would connect the drive to other computer and try to scan the drive.

The reason for this if Windows thinks the virus is a system file the removal program can not remove it if Windows is running. So connecting it to another computer allows you to fully clean the hard drive. However with alot of viruses at this level will cause you to have to do a clean reinstall of Windows any ways. So you may have to look using your restore disks any ways to get a clean reinstall of Windows.

Let me know if you have any more problems or questions

Virus + Graphic Card Issues.

first of all you don't have a virus, it is worm/spyware. there are a lot of programs out there and they don't get rid of the same worms/spyware.
make a note of the site you are directed to and google this and you will come up with programs that will get rid of it.
you will have to pay, but it's worth it in the end.
