Problem with lcd screen and viewfinder (by 2 users)

when I turn on jvc gr-d93 it will playback pre recorded video but when switching to record mode the lcd screen and viewfinder go multi coloured vertical stripes and it can pickup a bit of movement in the back ground and sometimes the screen goes grey and that is how it comes out after recording ?

yes i have the same problem only when i set to auto or manual all i see is a black screen but when i playback video it shows on the screen.
only when i switch to auto or manual mode it comes up with black screen and a little man with 2 arrows and a mountain flashing yellow.

Suggest a new solution for this problem
