This was very helpful. I have the same issue...the sound it WAY OBNOCIOUS. I relpaced one of them just a few hours a go. I did think about doing both of them but it is nearly impossible to get to them. Anyway I replaced the wheel and got 3 minutes of nice quite drying...and then it came back. I can not tell where the noise is coming from...lets say I decide to waste another entire day and replace the second wheel and the noise still exsists??? Could it be anything else...please HELP before my children even more colorful words!

Yes the other thing it could be is the tensioner pulley that keeps the belt tight, but that is very inexspensive although not always easy to change...
I would order and replace that also while you have it apart...
