Eureka as1100 roller brush not spinning. We have already replaced the main belt but there is a secondary belt that drives the roller brush and we can't figure out how to access this belt.

Sorry folks, but there's no Eureka with this model no. The model number can be found on a sticker, usually on the bottom of the unit. We'll need the correct model to access schematics of the body so I can tell you how to access the belts.

I have a powerclean bissell vacuum and i just got a belt to replace, is pulley the little metal part on the side where belt goes because when I put the belt over the metal part and around rotating brush...

You did not put the belt on its proper place that's why it happen. Replace again the belt and put it not over the metal part. Put a mark where the belt belong so that you'll remember it when you gonna install the belt. A mark like pen or masking tape will do.
Thanks for asking.

Hello, I have a Riccar 8000. The belt works, the bar spins, and it will **** things up. However, it will not pick up threads and dog hair or anything from the carpeting. Mu husband took the bottom off and...

The belt should be replaced at least once per year. They lose elasticity and will slip when vacuuming. The brush strips in the brush roll can be replaced. It is well worth having it serviced by a Riccar dealer,. The 8000 series can last many years but any long lasting vacuum will require routine maintenance.

How does the bottom open on a Hoover Vac ModleU5064-930 to change the belt ?

If you flip the vacuum over there should be (4) access screws on the base plate that covers the roller brush. Remove those and you will be able to access the belt. The belt you need you can get here:

Changing the belt

My husband changed the belt on our vacuum, now the metal frame doesn't fit back on the bottom. Also, there is a small metal clip that we don't know where it belongs.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. You should check on the owner’s manual to see how it goes together or call the Simplicity customer service line listed below to see what goes where. It’s been awhile since I have worked on a simplicity vacuum. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

How do i get access to replace the belt?

If it is the one in the picture above, then from underneath there are 2 screws to remove, then on the back there is 2 catchs, and on each side a catch, pry up slightly to release them and the top will come off. There may be a cover over the brushroll, there is a catch on each side to release and it will come off.
