Question about Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
My DC 14 animal (purchased 2-26-05) has begun to make a lugging noise sometimes when I turn it off. It normally has great suction, but when using the wand, it sounds normal for just a few seconds, then sounds like the air intake plugs up, and it loses suction. The filter is clean, and I’ve checked to assure that passages aren’t blocked. The trained technician at Dyson thought it could be the clutch or the motor. What do you think?
Try these tests & tell me the results.
Remove the hose & wand completely from the machine it unclips at the bottom of the back.
Leave handle in full upright position & switch on do you still get the sound of something blocked ?
If yes remove the (U) shaped inspection port again at bottom back of machine now repeat last test what happens ?
