I got rid of all the virus my husband's laptop had; then it started opening porn sites when he tried to open his Email...
I would like to Restore his puter to the original as when it was bought.
Unfortunately, this Dell does not have a System Restore. I did a search & nothing.
Can you tell me how I can Restore the System without a Recovery CD??

If you'd like to restore the laptop to it's original state, all you need is the windows XP (or vista, if you prefer) CD. Start the computer up and press the corresponding F (i.e. F1, F2, F3 ect.) to select a menu for temporary boot devices. Choose to boot from the CD drive and the CD will reinstall the operating system. Note that the XP CD after installing takes a lot of updates, like Flash for youtube, and a lot of other programs to keep your computer running with current standards.
