Question about Polaroid i832 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Polaroid digital camera i832 was working fine through USB cable. Received an Ipod shuffle for Mother's day, downloaded the software, loaded my Ipod and now my camera doesn't work. I'm think it's the Itunes software, because that's the only new thing that's been downloaded and the camera worked previously to that. The removable disk drive (F:) recognizes it, but wants me to "format disk". Under the device manager, disk drivers, there is a Maxtor 6Y080L0 listed and my camera. I don't think the Maxtor was there previously, I could be wrong though. It's almost like there's a conflict, but I don't know how to resolve it. I can not disable the Maxtor through deivice manager. I have uninstalled the camera driver, reinstalled it. Also uninstalled Real Player. I have a Windows XP professional office setup on Dell PC.

The maxtor is your computers hard drive- the computer will also see your ipod as a hard drive-leave everything alone and use a memory card reader to transfer pics from card to computer-no software plug n play

Having received no response in over a month to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader solved the problem.

I can not download pictures stored on the cameras memory card on to the computer

use your data cable and then transfer this. its simple as the picture has already been downloded by your camera.

Need drivers for digital camera polaroid i832 driver to work with win xp

do you have any firewall or antivirus software installed?

if so you might want to try this

Remove the software you have placed on there.
will be in the add/remove programs in the control panel

Then you need to click on start--->run---->msconfig---->in the general tab there click on diagnostic setup. ------->accept and then restart

Now install your software now that your firewall and antivirus software is not running.

Reboot your computer

Now click on start------>run------>msconfig----->now click on normal startup in the general tab----->accept and reboot your computer.

Wait till windows loads completely

now plug in your usb cord for your camera and then plug it into the camera and test to see if it work correctly now for you

if you have the manual for the camera refer to the install procedure on that as well.

if you dont have the manual here it is for you.

Hello

try using a usb cable and any standard pic program, such as Picasa (free from Google). i think mine is working without a driver, unless one is built in. btw, i simply insert the chip from my wife's camera in the appropriate spot and Picasa handles it fine.
