How to change background and apply video effect of your web cam and mp3 player

This is a new feature of AV Webcam Morpher 2.0 which can be used in the Pro version only. With this feature, users can 'move' from one place to another, or build the stage to suit any special occasions like Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, etc.

- Open the AV Webcam Morpher and switch to Background Changer module (3).

- Drop down the Default nickfaces list (4) for more background images.

- Selected background can be previewed in the Preview pane (5).

Notes:
- Make sure that the Preview (1) mode is on and at least one nickface (2) is selected.
- The default nickface, "Helen", cannot be used with the Background Changer.

Adjust the contrast of nickface vs. background:

Double click on Contrast (1) in the Effects pane to apply this effect into the webcam video.

Double click on Contrast (2) in the Effects to apply pane to adjust the contrast.

This effect make the video look more real by hiding the rendering effect around the nickface.

Adjust the brightness of the whole scene of nickface and background:

Double click on Brightness (1) in Effects pane to apply this effect to the webcam video.

Double click on Brightness (2) in the Effects to apply pane to adjust the brightness.

This effect will make the video become darker; the darker it is, the warmer the webcam look.

My webcam is not wking on my mac book pro ,it says device not connected

Thank you for contacting FixYa Support, I am glad to assist.

The best way to check if your iSight camera is working is to launch the built-in Mac OS X chat application, iChatAV and under Preferences check the video setting and see if the video will activate the built-in iSight camera.

As iChatAV is the defacto application to use and check video settings, if you cannot get the device to work, then you will more than likely need to take your Macbook in for at least a diagnostics to have your iSight camera checked.

This iSight is a built-in device, that if not working, as an internal device for your Macbook Pro, it can only be checked by a certified Mac technician.

If you are referring to an external web camera connected to your Macbook Pro, however, please feel free to reply back to this post and specify the model you have and we will be glad to assist you with that product.

Hard to find webcam for my apple ibook g3

Thanks for contacting Fixya Support.

I recommend you visit this website:
http://www.mac-compatible-web-cam.com/

This is one of my best recommended websites providing webcam products best compatible with PowerPC macs like the iBook G3 as well as Intel processor based Macs.

I hope this helps.

Does apple poewerbook g4 have webcam installed

No. You gots to get a Macbook or MacBook Pro for the built in web cam.
You can buy a Mac Ally web cam and clip it on the top of the powerbook for a web cam, but it looks odd in contrast to the stream lined architecture of the Power Book.

When I am chatting on Yahoo IM and turn on my internal MacBook webcam, it works for exactly 1 munute and then goes black on the receiving end. Repeatable every time and always exactly 1 minute.

Hi,

Maybe your internet connection can't handle the amount info being uploaded. ( by this i mean the fact that the cam filming and immediately sending all that over the internet to your chatfriends might be taking just a little bit too much of the upload amount you have.)

maybe it's caused by the Yahoo messenger, or maybe it's just your friends connections that's not heavy enough.

The easiest is to try to deinstall the camera and messenger software, reinstall them and reboot it all...

Hope this is useful, and greetings,

Olivier.

How to use the video chat in macbook??

just checking, but did you use ichat? ichat is the chat client for AIM on a mac. they show icons next to the people that you can audio or video chat with. it shows a video camera next to those who you can mutually video chat with. if you click the icon, it makes a video chat. if you were looking to use a service other than AIM, i suggest meebo.com. you just hit the webcam icon once chatting with someone and you are ready to go (assuming you have the isight webcam in your macbook).
hope this helps ;-)

Video chat doesn't connect

You will not be able to accept or decline until someone try to initiate a connection with you. You are getting the declined message from whomever you were trying to connect to.  That just means, the had an option to accept or decline allowing you to view them, and they may have declined.  Try it out with someone who is currently using the feature. Once you know they have accepted your request. It should give you an option ot accept (or delcine) theirs.
Hope this helps.... Let me know...

Webcam to record video image

There are solutions out there. Google Mac record Webcam.

This is one of the first ones that popped up; I cannot vouch for it, but it looks like there is a trial period:
