I am unable to hold down the left mouspad key and scroll down the page

Try putting the pointer on the little bar in the middle of the scroll bar. While you hold the left button down.If you want to go from one end to the other fast click inside the track. If your mouse has a wheel click any where on the page and roll the wheel and the page will move. Some wheels can be clicked down like a left click and in this position a four way or to way arrow will appear and you can just move the mouse in the direction you wish to move and stop and the page will scroll at the speed that you stop at this is auto scroll . Some wheels will move the page sideways by pushing the wheel to the side.I like Logitech products.Thank You fur choosing FixYa.com.

I always add this for your information. If this is not the solution that you are looking for please re post because when we pick a question to answer FixYa takes it out of the questions.

Letters

If you mean just for your internet browser window, hold CTRL and scroll your mouse scroll wheel.

If you don't have scroll wheel on your mouse, and you are using Internet Explorer, go to the view menu, then to TEXT SIZE.

If you want to make the letters on your desktop and desktop windows bigger, go to:

display properties -> settings tab -> advanced -> increase the dpi setting

Or decrease your resolution, right click on your desktop, click properties, then click the settings tab and lower your resolution.

Hope this helps!

I have a gateway laptop. At times I have a little wheel that can be used anywhere on the screen to scroll up and down and then it seems to quit working and I have to use the slide bar on the right side of...

Go to the control panel and set up your mouse. If this doesn't fix the problem, take the mouse apart and blow the dust out where the wheels with slots are. There is a small eye that detects movement in the wheels. If that doesn't fix it, the mouse needs replaced.

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 v2.0 Scrolling has gone awry

This may not be a solution for you but at least it may explain the cause of the problem. I recently had the same problem - the scroll wheel suddenly began to go crazy, jumping all the way to the bottom or the top of a document, or randomly skipping around. The unit was still under warranty, and Microsoft sent me a new mouse. Since they did not require me to return the old mouse, I decided to take it apart to see if I could find the problem. I found poorly soldered electrical joints to the optical sensor & LED which convert the scroll wheel movement to electrical signals. After I resoldered these connections the mouse worked fine again.

Auto Scroll Stops working

Hello,

Would you be willing to try this solution although it alone may not immediately solve your problem?

Once you attempt this and let me know what results you have, I can then move to the next most likely place to examine.

You see, the problem is that the "properties" values for a scroll wheel are set in several different areas of Windows. Therefore, it would potentially be necessary to do down the list of them one at a time until the problem is discovered. OK?

First then, go into Control Panel, in this area is Internet Options (this applies to Internet Explorer an not Firefox, Safari or Chrome), go to Advanced Properties for Internet Explorer and you should find a check box for smooth scrolling. Un check that box and then reboot Windows.

Let me know if the problem repeats itself in the same amount of time or not. Once I have that info I can take you to the next option to troubleshoot. Be aware that this may take quite a while. I've been through this with my Logitech Mouse and I came down to having to remove and reinsert the USB cable time and time again.

So let me know your results.

Regards,
Worldvet
