Looks like you have done all the right things from the photographs you have posted. I suggest you take a look above the ceiling, if its a false ceiling and you can get to it. or else you will have to use a big flat head screwdriver to pry it loose and touch up the ceiling later.

What model do you have? If it is an add-on remote, then follow instructions here: 1) Black on end of receiver to black in ceiling. 2) white ( next to black ) to white in ceiling. 3)Other White to white in fan. 4) Black to black in fan. 5)Red or black w/ white stripe to blue or black w/ white stripe.
why not, cant you figure out how to change a light bulb? Look carefully at the way it is made, look for screws to remove a plastic or glass cover to get access to the downlight ,which i assume is a light that points down. worst case senario is you have to read the owners manual under how to change the light bulb or call up customer service and ask them how or at least how to call techinical service. In all fairness , a down light may not be a light bulb that points down , but some kind of compact flouresent light bulb. check if vaxcel has a web site. they might have instructions on how to change a down light bulb.
Sounds like you have two hot wires. Just need to find out which wire goes to the wall switch. Try gray to black from fan, pink to black/white wire.white to white & green to green. If this doesn't work swich the pink & gray wires.
Try twisting the bezel (cover) counterclockwise to unlock it from the mounting base plate on the ceiling. The other option is to see if the bezel/cowl has fasters (screws) holding it in place either from the sides near the top edge or at the bottom nearest the narrow portion of the cover.
Sometimes the fan cowl bezel is fastened using screws at the point nearest the motor shaft.
There could also be a trim ring that needs to be gently pryed off from the edge nearest the ceiling, so you can gain access to the screws that are holding the cowl in place on the mounting plate. There are usually 2 sets of 2 screws placed 180 degees apart from each other that secure the cowl in place.
I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
If your house has only a black and white wire, than you need to tie the black, balack and white striped wire to the black of the hous. You than have to use the pull chains on the fan when the switch is on, to turn the fan or the fan light on or off. If youre house had a red wire than that would be tied in with the black and white striped wire and you would have two swithes on the wall to control the fan and light instead of having to use the pull chains.
you may have two dedicated ceiling fan circuits coming out of that box, check to make sure theres not a black wire bunched up in the ceiling or cut off, or try this
1.white to white wires, and black wire and black with a white stripe to red wire out of ceiling for fan and light together operation
2. If you can find the black and the red and the white coming out of the ceiling then you may have two switches on the wall for that fan, red for black fan wire, black with white stripe for the to black out of the ceiling , white all together. try that combination
for separate light and fan control from the wall
