Recovery disk for SX2855-UB10P

At what stage of the installation process do you get the message ?
Which operating system are you trying to load ?
Is there an operating system on your hard drive ?

You have to format your hard drive using a third party disc to erase everything on your hard drive

Restart your computer during the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the Delete or F2 key

Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS then using the arrow keys scroll down to advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to cd press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart

Note this will erase you operating system you will have to have an operating system disk to load it onto you hard drive or create a partition to load another operating system

Note after you have loaded the operating system you should go back and change the first boot device to failsafe or optimised defaults after windows has loaded

your computer will automatically restart it might restart 2 times one to finish the installation
the next will be because the operating system is loaded and will boot from your cd

Hope this helps.

My laptop will not boot

Switch ON the PC, boot the PC in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after you switch On until you get the Safe Mode Option.

Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows.

Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->Click 'System Restore'

A 'System Restore' window will appear.

Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next

Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.

Note: It is better if you could remember from which date you are facing the issue, try to select a date prior to that date.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.

After reboot your problem should be resolved.

No OS means your hard disk have no program of either WinXP or Win7!
Go to your bios again and check the hardisk and memory!
Set the boot sequence and save upon exit!

SHOW IN SYSTEM BIOS BUT NOT SHOW IN BOOTSEQUINCE.

If its not in the boot sequence then the bios doesnt consider it bootable, is this drive an operating system drive from another computer? It will only boot an operating system thats been installed on the computer you're trying to boot from.

When I plug in my WD MYBOOK ESSENTIAL 1 T Drive the XP machine will not boot. It locks up during boot but if the WD drive is unplugged the boot process continues. After booting plugging the WD Drive back...

Hello,

This is normal, simply because when your system is performing the boot sequence when it is first powered up, it checks all the possible drives that has an operating system on it according to the way it is configured to start checking it from the BIOS.

So possibly the default selected place for it to check first is the external drive, and since there is no operating system on it, it gets locked up and it might show NTLDR Missing...or Disk Error.

What you can do to stop that is :
When your system is booting go to setup, and depending on your BIOS type, try to locate where the boot sequence starts checking for Operating System from, if it is removable drives, then just change it to Hard Drive. Then save and restart.

Hope this helps you out.
Goodluck

Can not start windows, mesage say operation system no found

It may be a corrupt file that is needed to boot that has become damaged but either way you probably have some hard drive problems. I would recommend not trying to boot up your system anymore if you have files and information on that hard drive that you need. If it is indeed damaged the more you try to operate it the more the hard drive will degrade. I would take the system to a competent repairman and let him try to recover or back up any files you need on your system first and then try to diagnose the problem.

Operating syatem not found

How did you do the data recovery ?
i bet you put it into a desktop and did it that way ??
what you have basically done is taken the boot sector information off the hard drive. you need to get acronis boot manager or partition manager and install this as it will help restore your boot sector in your laptop and needs to be set to primary partition.
