Speakers when bass high, vibrate badly. Took out speaker in good shape but foam ring all deteriorated. Can you suggest a repair? New speakers are over $100.00 for two, old tv not worth it. Found 16 ohm similiar shape could glue in are only5.00 each new so right price. Would they work effectively?
Would like to find replacement pair cheap or fix. Thanks.

The inputs you refer to should be colored as follows. Red Blue Green Red White (not necessarily in this order) These are what are called Component Video inputs and is one of the way that HD capable equipment connect to your television. It will not get true HD picture but this input will provide you with a crisper clearer picture.
is it like a buzzing sound? is so then it would be coming from your speakers. and would possibly mean a new sound board is in order. another possibility is that their is a hum from the power supply unit. but that's the power control board on the tv. this can also cause audible humming. if it sounds like a high voltage hum from a 60 hertz cycle then it is the power modal on the board failing more then likely.
good luck with it. and get a second opinion as i can easily be wrong. thanks for using fixya
I don't think your TV is totalled! It's more than possible that a speaker connection on the main board has come adrift and just needs pushing back in. Check connections on the speakers themselves and when you trace back the cables there will one or two push in connectors.
It may be a good idea to get the speaker connection plugs checked and resoldered. It is also possible that the fall could have jolted the audio IC and this should be checked for dry joints or cracked print on the board too.
