Yeah. When I play CS I have to play it straight on my desk with out using a mouse pad because the pick up causes me to skip. It's driving me nuts, and I'm about to throw this damn thing away.

Hmm...I managed to solve the problem of mouse "breaking" while playing counter strike..Its a lil technical...

1. Right Click My Computer -> Properties
2. Choose 'Hardware' tab and then 'Device Manager'
3. You should see a Yellow exclamation mark on 'Razer Copperhead USB mouse' under 'Human Interface devices'
4. Right click -> properties
-------------------------------------------------------------
I do not exactly remember the wordings of the prompts that appear after this..

5. Click on something which says "install / update driver"
6. Choose the 1st option which has something missing in one of the columns..
7. Unzip downloaded driver files on your desktop
8. Choose logical options from here...
9. At some point it will ask for "Razerlow.sys" file...
10. Click browse and go to C:\Windows\system32\drivers....you will find it there...
11. Choose logical options from here and your "breaking" problem will be solved...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This does not solve the "No mouse detected" message in configurator...but atleast you can play your favorite game :-)

My scroll isnt working on my razer copperhead, any ideas?

Just had the same problem with my copperhead... firstly go to url below to show you how to open up the copperhead (only do this if it's out of warranty!! which is two years if you have your purchase recipt) http://razerblueprints.net/index.php/Copperhead/copperhead-disassembly-guide.html . Once you have got the top off look at the front where the wheel attaches you can pull the wheel out of the circular thing on the left then find some thin paper I used some laser receipt paper (probably gonna wear out but will find something better in meantime) cover the hole with a very small square of whatever thin material you have chosen then push the axle of the wheel back in... this tightens the hole back up allowing the clicking feel to come back and the scroll wheel to work again.
Ultimately the problem is wear and tear with the hole for the axle or the shape of the axle end wearing down.

My copperhead Razer mouse has started double clicking for one

Hi,
This double-clicking can be due to a worn out micro-switch in your mouse. If you are well -verse with repairing such gadgets, you can go ahead and replace this switch yourself or refer it to a qualified technician

PROBLEMS WITH MOUSE

FIXED, I managed to fix my copperhead last night after its been sat under my desk for the past 4 months with doubleclick problem. I peeled off the lower slider foot, removed the QC sticker off the screw, removed the screw and took the top off the mouse. inside, under the faulty button (left mouse button for me) there is a little black box with a small thin white button on top. i very carefully lifted the black box slightly off its connection with a small flathead screwdriver then pushed it back down again. i did this with the mouse plugged in to usb blue lights on and everything. it stopped double clicking instantly, hope this works for anyone else. let me know.

I can now use my razer again. wooooooooooooooooo

Razer Copperhead mouse problem

Check the BIOS settings on your computer: is it set to boot from USB drive?  that may be the problem.

Razer copperhead problem

I have something like you've all described with mine occasionally, normally, turning the mouse over and rubbing the laser surround with my finger vigorously is enough to clean off the crud that seems to be causing the problem..
I've never had any software problems or anything with mine..
