Printing from netbook

Use a desktop computer to copy the contents of the bundled printer CD-ROM to a thumb drive. If a second computer with a CD-ROM drive is not available, go to your printer manufacturer's website and download the appropriate drivers to your netbook's hard drive. Specific instructions may vary depending on your manufacturer, so read and follow instructions provided on the website. Insert the thumb drive into your netbook. If you downloaded the drivers instead, follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation. Open the file browser and click on the USB drive. Click on "Install" or "Setup." Follow the on-screen instructions for driver and software installation. Connect your printer to your netbook using a USB cord. Some software setups will automatically recognize the printer and launch a setup wizard. If a setup wizard does not start automatically, on your task bar choose "Start" and then "Printers and Faxes." In the window that opens, double click on "Add Printer." Click "Next" in the printer wizard window. A new frame appears asking you for the type of printer that you would like to initialize. Choose "Local Printer" and click next if your printer is connect through the USB port. Choose "Network Printer" if you want to use a printer installed on your network. Click "Next." Click the name of the printer you are using in the list. Click "OK" Choose "Yes" when prompted to choose whether or not you want to use the printer as your default printer. Click "Next." Click "Finish." Hope it helps.

I don't have my user name and password for my wireless network and need it to connect a wireless printer

If you have the CD that comes with the adapter then you can try uninstall Linksys software and install only the drivers of the adapter.

Remove the Linksys Adapter and un-install the Linksys Software from Programs menu. To re-install the Drivers insert the Linksys Setup CD into your CD-ROM drive. When the Welcome screen appears click Exit. Connect your USB adapter to the computer. When the Found new Hardware Wizard window appears, click Install the software automatically (Recommended) then click Next. Click Finish when the installation is complete.Try to connect to the wireless network again. See if that works. You can also download the latest drivers from Linksys website on any other computer. Save it on a Flash drive and transfer the drivers on your computer.

Ntlrd missing xp tablet on my hp tc1000 with no cd rom

Causes
  1. Computer is booting from a non-bootable source.
  2. Computer hard disk drive is not properly setup in BIOS.
  3. Corrupt NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM file.
  4. Misconfiguration with the boot.ini file.
  5. Attempting to upgrade from a Windows 95, 98, or ME computer that is using FAT32.
  6. New hard disk drive being added.
  7. Corrupt boot sector / master boot record.
  8. Seriously corrupted version of Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
  9. Loose or Faulty IDE/EIDE hard disk drive cable.
  10. Failing to enable USB keyboard support in the BIOS.
Solutions

Computer is booting from a non-bootable source

Many times this error is caused when the computer is attempting to boot from a non-bootable floppy disk or CD-ROM. First verify that no floppy diskette or CD is in the computer, unless you are attempting to boot from a diskette.

Note: This error has also been known to occur when a memory stick is in a card reader and the computer is attempting to boot from it. If you have any card reader or flash reader make sure that no memory stick is inside the computer. Additionally disconnect all USB drives, cameras, ipods, iphones, etc. from the computer.

If you are attempting to boot from a floppy diskette and are receiving this error message it is likely that the diskette does not have all the necessary files or is corrupt.

If you are attempting to install Windows XP or Windows 2000 and are receiving this error message as the computer is booting verify that your computer BIOS has the proper boot settings. For example, if you are attempting to run the install from the CD-ROM make sure the CD-ROM is the first boot device, and not the hard disk drive.

Second, when the computer is booting you should receive the below prompt.

Press any key to boot from the CD

Important: When you see this message press any key such as the Enter key immediately, otherwise it will try booting from the hard drive and likely get the NTLDR error again.

Note: If you are not receiving the above message and your BIOS boot options are set properly it's also possible that your CD-ROM drive may not be booting from the CD-ROM properly. Verify the jumpers are set properly on the CD-ROM drive.

Computer hard disk drive is not properly setup in BIOS

Verify that your computer hard disk drive is properly setup in the CMOS setup. Improper settings can cause this error.

  3. Insert the MultiPASS MP730/700 Setup CD-ROM into your CD drive. The [MP Setup] splash screen will appear automatically.

    1. If MP Setup does not start automatically, on the Windows desktop, double-click My Computer (on Windows XP, click Start then click My Computer).

    2. Double-click the CD-ROM icon. If MP Setup does not start, double-click 'Setup.exe' (on Windows XP, 'Setup').
