Question about Computers & Internet
You can start by reloading the DVD drivers once again. If the PC detects the drive then it is installed and has no errors.
Open the tray and clean the laser eye of the optical unit with a cotton bud softly. Now insert a cd and try. Try with audio cd, data cd or DVD. If none of them are detected then it is possible that the drive is faulty ,a possible optical head failure but in this case a new drive might be the solution.
