Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines
F1 error is a pressure sensor error on the machine control board,in short if the computer can not correctly sense the amount of water in or entering unit it will shut down. You are definitely not the first to have this issue..1st make sure you are using the right amount of HE soap. 2nd they tell you to make sure the clear pressure sensor hose from the tub to the computer is not cloged or leaking air. 3rd you will have to replace the machine control board, and you dont want one thats been sitting on the shelf for a couple of years as the have been going through constant upgrades (problems) Good luck

Welcome to FixYa
F1 error in your whirlpool cabrio indicates bad control and should be replaced to resolve the error code. However, you can contact Whirlpool as well prior to replacing the control yourself as I have seen whirlpool paying for the parts themselves just because this is known to be a common issue. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
