Question about White Mountain F64304X 4 Quart Ice Cream Maker
It sounds like the motor that actually spins the unit is starting to fail. Any time it is resistant to pressure / weight it is an indication that the motor itself it starting to give out, lose amperage, or have some other mechanical issue. My recommendation is that you call White Mountain directly and see if it is under warranty still (I believe it may be 5 years even) or if not, they can definitely help you get the part you need, or they can do the repair.
