Hi. well the first thing you must have is a service manual, Below, below that is your user manual, BOTH are important

Then you most likely need a Multimeter, a toolkit, (small screwdrivers, cutters. etc.)
One thing to always check, is the battery this causes almost 75% of all problems are battery related.
make sure power is OK, then work through the service manual troubleshooting steps to isolate your exact issue.
Check crystal activity, another problem, check all connections. Check Coding, try resetting the base and handset. try recoding too.

D816 phone system with new KX-td7895 cordless phone that we cannot get the phone system to recognize. I have been reading posts that say to disable the XDP feature (program 600) but I cannot find a menu or...

That model is either a system phone or a single line set. If you're going to use it as an SLT, then you can plug it into the XDP and enable the port in 600. 600 is a SYSTEM program accessed from the main phone and enabled per port.

If you operate in the multi-line mode, you need to wire this phone to its own port on your 816 system.

Panasonic KX TG2237 - Handset lights up but displays message "no connection to base unit"

Unplugged and reinstalled all components. In the process I discovered a GFI circuit had tripped. When I reset the circuit breaker all was well. Problem solved.

Panasonic KX-TG5631 that works but no display

This problem can have many solutions as it can have many origins. But one of them, and it seems the problem is synchronized, happening to several handsets within a short period of time, as if they ran out of their useful life all together, is caused by the breakage of the flat cable connecting the display to the main board. The thin film conducting material deposited on the plastic base wears off or breaks just close to the display driver making it impossible for the video signals to reach the LCD.
A solution I found was to file part of the white plastic display support base to give the flat cable some slack, and them to insert a rubber wedge between the support and the main board to keep some pressure on the cable, lifting it up a bit, bending the cable as to make the film cracks close and remake electrical contact.
It is not a permanent fix (replacing the display would be) but the phones can go back to normal operation for some time. How long? I don't know yet.

I have a Panasonic KX-TD7895 cordless phone. The volume is so low that I often can't hear the conversation. Hitting the volume button does not resolve the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Common problem, but if your not a phone tech with a parts account, schematics, etc.., I recommend you send it in for repair than risk breaking it since it is such a valuable phone and one wrong move can ruin it beyond repair. If it was a $50 phone, I would say tear into it and give it a shot. But at over $350 you should have a pro do it and its much cheaper than buying a replacement or sending to Panasonic. Google kx-td7895 repair and you can find a private facility.

Semi Dead Panasonic KX-TGA100N with ''C533'' displayed.

Panasonic KX-TG1050N Cordless Phone. Base handset (No. 1, KX-TGA100N) does not work, no keypad response or dial tone. Green indicator message light ON (should only work with the TG1000N base unit) all the time till battery runs down. Display shows message ?C533?. Can still send and receive calls on extension phones 2 and 3.

Hello -need help with phone

Hi Nick,

There are no intensity adjustments I know of, and from my experience if the backlight is still working, but you get no display, it is either a bad display, or many times corrosion or a broken solder joint/component. I wish I could help you correct the problem with a few pushes of a button but not in this case. We do fix those models, you can check us out at Thanks, CG

Panasonic TD7895

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but I think they have to go back to the factory in GA to be synched again.

There might be something obscure in the codes on the handset and base that will let it work, but I'm guessing not.

KX-TD7895 problem

If you were using this unit and it was functioning, then most likely the handset has gotten damaged, and you would need to send the handset and base into repair (its not programming setting or a field servicable problem). If your testing this unit for the first time, the base may not "match" the handset. You can tell if they match by looking at the code on the little white sticker on the bottom of the base, and it must match the code on the sticker on the handset which is under the battery. So if they match, and they still will not communicate with eachother not much can be done until its put on a diagnostics and testing. You can google kx-td7895 repair to find a facility. Good luck
