If the tv shuts off you have a power supply issue.I have looked at a lot of tvs like this. Could be caps bad on board or supply replacement cost around 250.00. I dont know your expertise but my recommendation is to call a local tv shop and ask them there road call charge . good luck

Projection screen HD tv wont turn on, when you push the power button the light turns on the tv clicks and then go right back off the picture never comes on. This all happens in a matter of seconds.

That sounds exactly like a burnt bulb issue to me which is easily replaceable. But without the exact model of your TV I won't be able to know for sure. If you could comment with the model of your TV I can do some more research for you.
If this helps please give a positive rating.

TV picture goes out after 10 minutes of viewing with popping sound

It can be a couple things. Something bad on the power board. Or the vertical output circuit. How long ago did you purchase the television. Your best course of action is to have it serviced.
If you need any information or other assistance let me know.
Thanks,

The "new device found" screen keeps popping up

Inspect for damaged pin on INPUT 1 socket. (left most of the three HDMI connectors)
A quick pull on the cable can damage the pins.
=== If you see mis-aligned pins then please power off the set before making corrective action. ===
============== Here's a textbook instruction from Mitsubishi
If the New Device Found Screen Displays No HDMI Control Option If the New Device Found screen shows no option for HDMI Control, one of these conditions applies: • HDMI Control is turned off in the menus of the new device Action: a. Highlight EXIT and press ENTER to close the New Device Found screen. b. Display the device's setup menus and enable the device's CEC capabilities. c. Wait for the TV's New Device Found screen to appear again. d. If the New Device Found screen does not appear, power off the device. Power on the device and wait for the New Device Found screen to display with the HDMI Control option.
Next time you see the NEW DEVICE FOUND screen pop up.
Toggle the CEC field (on the right side of the pop up) to OFF.

TV acts like it is turning on then shuts off then repeat, repeat

When my lamp died the bulb literally exploded. That may be what you heard. Have you check the lamp? If the lamp is ok, the lamp's ballast or power supply might have blown.

Loose wires or damaged contacts might be the problem, suggesting to call manufacturer for service support and for a servicer in your area.

TV will not turn on. It makes a nonstop clicking noise.

Sounds to me like the high voltage power supply is attempting to fire off the metal halide lamp without success.
