Hi i have connected the Samson G-track with my macbook. also i using Nicecast & Traktor for radio broadcasting. when i talk from Samson G Track my voice comes only from left speaker. I try the...

This is because the G Track's Mic signal is on the Left channel and the Instrument signal is on the Right channel. You are making a stereo recording when you should be making 2 mono recordings. Does Nicecast have an option to set the track to mono Left channel? Traktor should, but I haven't used it so I can't tell you where the option is. There's probably a Track Input drop-down or something like that.

Welcome to FixYa!

I assume that you know your way around adobe audition 1.5 because I'm currently using adobe audition 3 on windows 7. The menus are different, but I'm going to give a few points that might help.

Windows Sound/Volume:
Make sure that the sound card you are using is selected, specially if you are using an additional external USB sound card (which is much better). Disable other sound cards, if any.

Adobe Audition:
One of the pull down menus located on the upper part, it has an option that says "Device Properties" or anything like that. This is where you set the input signal will be coming from and likewise the output signal.

The input signal should be the input of the sound card you selected in windows. Same goes for the output signal.

On multi-track view, check the track to be recorded. Make sure that the input is from the input of the sound card and not from anything else. The button for the setting is somewhere near the Solo/Mute/Record buttons.

If this will be set correctly, you will be able to play the song on the 1st track and record ONLY your voice on the 2nd track.

Keep me posted.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I PLUGGED THE GUITAR INTO THE GUITAR INPUT AND PLUGGED ANOTHER JACK INTO THE SEND UNIT TO MY AMPLIFIER BUT CAN'T HEAR ANY SOUND EVEN THOUGH I GET A READING THAT SHOWS SOUND IS HAPPENING. THE OL LIGHT IS...

try this: plug a stereo headphone into send & check if you get something on one side of the headphones (should be left side) if yes check the cable you use, it's possible that a mono plug (as used for guitars) is disabling the send output, using a stereo plug & adaptors may work (especially if you get the sound in the right side of you headphones check also the manual you may find a description how to connect/insert a guitar effect when recording or live mix

MANUAL RECORDING FROM COMPUTER HEADPHONE SOCKET.. FIRST RIGHT LEAD REQUIRED YOU NEED STEREO 3.5mm stero jack plug to lef right phono male leads... prepare for manual record place jack in computer headphone socket. check correct socket play track on computer their should be no sound. if sound present in wrong socket... if ok place phono left right into analogue aux inputs on cdr recorder.next make shure you have blank scratch free cd .next press ext(ernal) source repeatedly until the required input is selected i.e digital analogue optical etc..when auto track is on the disk will number automatically.with auto track on it their needs to be 2.7 second gap to rec number change. with the recorder stopped press rec type five times to enter in the manual record standby mode. manual start s to flash and the display shows REC EXT MAN followed by WAIT.after a few seconds press record . play the source track ie on your computer to set record level on cd recorder.. adjust audio card settings or volume control on pc etc .rotate easy jog/enter key until on the record /play level bar all the blue led are alight but not the red( clipping) display shows xx decibel eg 3bd. stop the source material (track on computer get ready to record ii.e to start track again..to start recording set you track going wilst pressing RECORD on the cd recorder, and immediatley the source material playing. the track number and recording time left appear in display . if check input message is displayed check the connections are correct etc .to stop recording press stop on cd recorder . update lights up and arrow goes out. after recording display will show UPDATE FOR SEVERAL SECONDS WRITTING TOC.. IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THIS DISC ON NORMAL CD PLAYERS YOU NEED TO FINALIZE THE TRACK . HOPE THIS HELPS..yammandan.

Try another recording to eliminate the media as the cause.

Find the two audio OUTs (Left and Right) on the player and plug them into the Left and Right Audio IN's of any available input on the amplifier. It sounds like you're either missing one of the channels or you have them plugged into different inputs.

M-audio fast track sound only coming out of right side

I havent played with acid a lot... but this is what i can tell you... most of the softwares have configurable inputs... seems like your inputs are configured as stereo input and hence it will pick up the signal from both the left and right discreetly... which means that you would need to feed audio to both the channels for the meter to pump on both bars...The other option is to PAN the track center and not hard left right... this would get audio to both ears of headphone as well as the output meters...
these are basically some of the few things tht will get u sound on both ears and bars...
The bigger question here thoug is why do you want to record in stereo?? and not mono?

Samson G Track USB Mic

To get sound in both channels in Garageband for a podcast using the G-Track Microphone:    select a voice track to record into    make sure the Track Info window is open (blue i button in lower right region of screen)    at the bottom of the Track Info window you will find Input Source:    Change the default setting of Stereo to Mono 1 (USB Audio CODEC)
This assumes you have gone to Garageband preferences and changed the Audio/Midi settings for audio input to USB Audio CODEC which appears when you plug in the G-Track Mike

The mic is on the left side. That's how it's supposed to work. You should set your recording software to only record the left channel on one track and the right channel on another track.

The level controls are the knobs on the front.

It's supposed to only record on the left side. When it's in "INST/MIC" mode the left channel has your mic on it and the right channel has your instrument, so you can mix them separately. Just configure your recording software to put the left channel on one track and the right channel on another track.
