Hello there may be a couple of things that could be wrong , first check inside the of the door to see if the long plastic pin is connected the this activate the motor , if this is ok then the capacitor next to the motor could be faulty. ps check the fuse in the plug

Wont cycle to dry clothes

When the dryer door is open, you should be able to find a switch (it may be just a button protruding from the cabinet). The switch turns the machine off when the door is opened. It may be damaged or worn out.

GE d clothes dryer starts when you close the door, before you turn the saitch.

Dear Dan,
You may have a bad start switch. Here is how I would check it.
Unplug your dryer, and remove the back of the control panel, which usually means pull it out from the wall and take out about 6 or 8 screws. There is usually a long rectangular panel for the control panel access.
Locate the start switch and unhook the wires from it, being certain that the wires are then not touching anything at all.
Then plug in the dryer and see if that is what the problem was, it should not turn on at all.
You can buy new switches from an appliance dealer, or from "Sears Parts" on the internet.
You can buy new and used switches from e-bay.
Be blessed.

Dryer can't turn on. Start button just buzzes.

replace the "Broken-Belt" switch by the drum motor, when the belt breaks it shuts off the heating element so as not to burn the clothes because the drum can't turn to produce air flow to dry the clothes as they tumble, when you replace the belt it will make the switch close the circuit again and it will start

Replace the fan belt that turns the dryer drum. Use only the genuine replacement spare part for your dryer.

Dryer won't stay running

I had the same problem with my kemore. Thank goodness I still had it under warranty.
The tech said the door latch was just slightly ajar. This is common he said that when we take clothes out we let the door close to hard or gets ajar for leaning in to take clothes out.
He readjusted it and I have never had a problem with it again.
Hope this helps
