Hi. I have a blaunpunkt CD34 stereo in my car and it seems to be locked into one radio station as no buttons work accept the volume. It will allow me to play a cd but I can only adjust the volume on this...

is your radio come with remote control? you can confirm other function with remote control, if still working, then most likely the face plate connector connection is loose, you have to dismantle the radio out from car, and then open out the side screw secure the face plate to radio body, Unplug the face plate out from body and re assemble back to test.

TV turns on and volume goes as high as it can. Bring volume back down using buttons and it will come down, but as soon as you take your finger off the button it goes all the way back up. Will not accept...

The buttons on the front of the set fail, (like mine did) even if they never get used. Obviously the 'UP Volume' in your case is stuck closed. Try pecking on it first. My remote stopped working but so did the manual buttons too. While poking around on stuff I swished my finger across the buttons and it all started working again so I knew I was on to something. I never figured out which one was the culprit as it continued to cause problems and was replaced as a complete unit under warranty.

The other quick check/fix is to remove the trim plate around the button plate, then remove the button assembly (3 screws plus pop out stays like the speaker covers) then unplug the multi colored lead from the button circuit board. This puts the Remote back in control and it will work just fine like this, minus manual control of course.

You have to reset your system... Use a pen to push a small button that's located in the front of the face plate. That will reset the system...If it gets stuck on standby, just push the SRC button on the face plate or on the remote..

The buttons on the unit quit working with the exception of the OFF, volume, change channels. Can use the remote for most other functions. CD player will not open. Pressed the Reset button on unit plate but...

Unit was replaced. It wasn't worth the time or money to find out that I needed to replace it when I saw the cost of a new unit. I went to a local store that was more helpful than the Internet.

880 universal remote volume button broke. little rubber botton on inside that pushes the volume button on inside broken.face plate cracked and arrow button on left right underneath face broken and missing...

My volume button also broke (actually, the VOLUME UP function stopped working). Rather than trying to get the remote fixed, I found a different solution...
I reprogrammed the + key (bottom left of the remote) to be my new Volume UP function. You can do this by going to any of the activities you've already defined, and adding a custom button to the activity.
Choose the + button (it will probably not have an existing function), and tell it to use the Volume Up function of the component you normally use for volume. In my case, it was the Home Theater Receiver.
I hope that helps.

Face plate buttons wont work

This is actually a common problem with more than just that radio. Sometimes the pins on the back of the face plate need to be cleaned. Take the face plate off, take a Q-tip and dip it lightly in some rubbing alcohol. Then use that to clean the metal pins on the back of the face plate. Make sure it is completely dry before you place the face plate back on. If this does not work, your better off replacing the whole thing.

Toshiba TV 35A44 Volume Issue

I had the same problem, you'll probably find that that particular button will push further into the set then the others, this is due to the a weakening of a cheesy metal guide which directs the projection off the back of the button into the corresponding microswitch. This metal guide will bend and will push against the switch. My solution, (and it ain't pretty) was to unplug the set, remove the button( I used a dremel cutting bit), locate the guide,a small metal plate with a hole in it. Bend the plate toward the front of the set then tape over the hole. I haven't had the problem since. You WILL have to use your remote for further functionality of the volume, However all of the buttons seem to be inherantly poorly designed and will weaken over time, AVOID USING THEM!
