Question about Cell Phones
1. Hit the Menu button.
2. Go to the 'Initial Setting' option (second icon in the right column.
3. Scroll down and select 'Registration'
4. Select 'Deregistration'
After you have done this, follow the on-screen directions to deregister the handset that is bad. You must know what handset number you wish to deregister to do this.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: I recently purchased a KX-TGA600
Be certain you registered the phone properly:
On the Base, press and hold LOCATOR until the IN USE light flashes. On the handset, press OK then wait until a beep sounds.
If you registered this properly, the way to reset is to remove the batteries of the handset and leave for a period of time (at least several hours).
try to register again.
If still the same problem, I suspect that the reconditioned handset is faulty and should be returned.
Hope this helps.
