Question about Canon PIXMA MP210 Photo All-In-One Printer
When I try to print or scan it says printer not responding.
I had the same problem. You need to change the printer port setting to from COM1 to USB. Go to the "Control Panel" of the start menu. Select "Printers and Other Hardware", then pick "Printers and Faxes". Right click on your printer icon "Canon MP210 series Printer" and select "Propeties" at the bottom of the menu. You will see the tabs, "General","Sharing", "Ports", etc. Click on the "Ports" tab. Scroll down until you get the "USB Virtual printer port" with "Canon MP210 series Printer" name next to it. Click on that check box and you should be good to go.

Are the cables connected properly and is the printer switched on? and are you selecting the right printer when you attempt to print?

There is no solution for that, if you want only scanning, you need a separate scanner. This machine will only scan when all other errors are taken care of. And all inks are full.

You will probably have to go to this page to download the new Mac drivers for Snow Leopard to get the full functionality of your All-in-one printer back.
Print functions are generic enough where you don't need to have the most updated driver for it to work. But the scanning functionalities are more complicated.

If your HP printer fails to respond to a job, check that all printer cables are connected properly and ensure that the printer is turned "ON."
If everything configured well then go to the computer's control panel from the start menu and click the "printers" icon and be sure that your printer is selected as the default.
If everything checks out in the control panel, right click on the printer icon and select properties.
Click on the details tab and make sure that the correct port is selected.
Double click on the printer icon and cancel all documents and try printing again.
