Kindly let me know what happened for which you hit F8 and what you disabled. Further kindly let me know that you have restarted your pc and enabled it from device manager.

Good evening, I just bought a new Packerd Bell laptop and i discovered a small but really annoying problem. When I am playing a game, I type and using the mouse at the same time. The only thing is when...

Check the mousepad settings in control panel. There are settings and programs that disable the mousepad when typing. A slight brush across the mousepad can send the cursor to odd places in your document.

There is also a small app that disables the mousepad when you type as well. Check your processe in task manager to see if there is such a program running in the background.

Hi my name is amyraffan and my dell inspiron 1545 touch pad/ mouse has stopped working completely it wont move and its froze in the same posiition, please help!

Hi,
there is a button to disable the touchpad near to it. check if you had accidentally clicked on that button which disables your mousepad.

If still problem not solved, then try reinstalling the touchpad device driver alone from the driver cd provided along with your laptop.

I hope this helps you.
Thanks

The scroll bars on the mousepad don't work

Since it is a Laptop you can not just go over to the Scroll Bar. Move the arrow from the mouse over to the scroll bar. Hold on the left key below the mousepad. The scroll bar should turn a differnt color. Move the scroll bar up and down with your finger, using the mousepad.

Dell d410 laptop has a locked mousepad and when I turn it on.

The led, is indicating that the Numlock is engaged on the keyboard.
If the touchpad stops responding but keyboard inputs work, then the touchpad is either failed or disabled. If the keyboard is none responsive too, then the operating system has locked up and that is an entirely different issue. If the OS is locking up, try booting to SAFE Mode from the F8 menu and see if you can access anything. If still locking in Safe mode, you may end up installing Windows Again. If Safe mode works, then you can check event logs and edit MSCONFIG startup group and the like to find the SW issue

Disable mousepad

hi,
try the Fn+F7 combo, the F7 is usually assigned to the touchpad and is indicated by an icon that's relevant.

This works on most notebooks to turn on or off the touchpad.

. Press F2 or F10 (it varies) to enter your bios setup screens. In these pages is a setting for touch pad only, mouse only or touch pad and mouse or serial. You might check that.

The screen is stuck on windows media edition and the mouse and keyboard(wireles) do not work

Sounds like your computer is locking up. Try booting into safe mode by pressing f8 before it boots the windows. If you get into safe mode try removing all startup items by going to start> run> Type msconfig and go to the start tab and disable all startup items and restart. If pressing f8 doesn't work I would try new batteries in the keyboard or get a wired keyboard. You could have bad hardware like memory or hard drive that are the two biggest causes of a computer freezing.

Inpiron 1501 keyboard working slow

Does the issue occur in Safe Mode (Press F8 at boot, select safe mode) If not then a program is likely conflicting, run a virus and spyware scan. If the issue does occur in safe mode, try adjusting keyboard settings in COntrol panel

Mouse and Keyboard no longer work

Your laptop probably disables your touchpad when any USB mouse is detected. This is pretty reasonable, since your palms can easily stray over the touchpad during touch-typing. I'm not sure how to go about disabling that, but I'm 95% sure there's a way (even if it involves some command-line stuff).
