The top drawer will not take in water. The tap symbol flashes. The bottom drawer is working perfectly. I have cleaned and checked it - no obvious obstruction in the drawer.

We have a Siemens dishwasherSN66T091GB. The unit is not showing a fault code but the 'tap' light and 'rinse aid' lights are flashing continuously.

Tap symbol indicates a water problem.

Check that the water supply to the dishwasher has been turned on.

Check that the water supply hose hasn't bent or kinked.

Check the water supply first, see what you find.

Rinse Aid symbol light indicates low on rinse additive.

Hope this helps?

I have a Fisher and Paykel integrated dishwasher and there is no lights working on the switch on the top drawer and when the power is turned on and off it says it has an f4 fault on the internal panel. The...

F4 implies a problem with water heater not working or temperature sensor giving wrong value. Check if the drawer is cold or too hot at the time of the error.

Have a kitchenaid double drawer dishwasher. While running the bottom drawer the top drawer fills up with water. Had the filler valve on the garbage disposal changed. Issue still continues. Any suggestions

Mine does the same thing! (Same model) I've finally discovered that if I start the bottom drawer first and the top drawer just after that doesn't happen as much. Also, if I run the garbage disposal (and water obviously) while it's starting (I will try to do my hand washing while the dishwasher is getting going) that seems to keep this from happening as well. I've given up running just one drawer, which totally defeats the purpose of buying the 2 drawer dishwasher. But it does keep me from having to bail the bottom drawer :-( I'd like a better solution to this too!

Have a rental property with F&P two draw dishwasher aprox five years old. Apparently bottom draw is holding water - what do you think?

Could be many reasons for the bottom drawer to hold water.

It could be leaky top drawer causing water to collect in the bottom drawer. Check if water collects when top drawer is running.

It could be blockage in the bottom drawer drainage which can be fixed by cleaning the filter plate and the drain sump. If the drain pump is not running during drain cycle then you will have to replace the drain pump motor.

Dishwasher keeps flashing F1

F1 on your dishwasher is the fault code for leaking inside the machine. the water has caused the flood switch to activate. have you put any detergent rather than your normal dishwasher detergent into the machine? if you have, the water probably leaked out of your overflow, if not, then you have a leak on the top drawer or bottom drawer. the easiest way to check is to leave the machine off for a couple of days until it drys then turn on the bottom drawer to go thru a cycle.if the F1 comes up again then the problem is on your bottom drawer. if F1 does not come up then try the top drawer. please reply if you require further help.

F1 fault code both drawers flashing and will not shut off. top drawer would not open

f1 means that u have a leak on machine and the water is activating the water detection device which is on the lid activater board located under bottom drawer.the hard thing about this problem is that to repair fault, u have to find leak which could b top or bottom drawer. if your top drawer does not open then it could be the lid activater board is faulty due to leak.are u confident to check 4 leaks and check activater board? please reply 4 more help. please turn power off b4 u work on it dont want any accidents.

My dishwasher is showing signs of a spanner

I am slightly unsure if your double drawer dishwasher is the prefinished model (self standing with LCD display) or the integrated model with no LCD display.

The spanner symbol on the top drawer is telling you that a fault code is actuated. But I am not sure where this symbol is on your unit if it is built -in (integrated model).

You will have to check which red light (from the left) is coming on.
I assume there are 5 lights on the inside of drawer.

With the bottom drawer - again you will have to check which light from the left comes on sometimes as you mentioned.

If you have a user manual you should be able to tell what Fault code it is - something like F1 or F2 etc. Is it continuously beeping when the red light is on? How do you turn the beeps off?

The scrubbing bush symbol on bottom drawer may not be a problem. It appears the drawer is programmed to a particular option. But I am not sure where this symbol is showing if you do not have an LCD display panel. You can reset the option - possibly auto lock or auto power or dish cleaned (depending on your model) if you follow the user manual.

happy to take you through a possible cause of the problem if you post answers to my questions above.
