Question about HP cp1700 Color Inkjet Printer

1 Answer

I have troubles in reading the messages in the display because some lines are missing. At the moment the printer does not work, because I cannot read the error mesages in the LCD. I tried hard to find solutions and after calling HP Support I was told that spare parts are not more available. Now, i become a little bit desperate because this printer is needed frequently. Ink Catrtidges as well as Printer heads are ok. How can I get running the printer so that its works properly? Hubert Maier A-4210 Gallneukirchen Austria

Hi,

I read the question. However, as you cannot see the error message, it is practically impossible to diagnose the problem. Regarding the spare parts, there are many options and ways to get that. However, first of all we need to know the exact error message. There are many different errors and it is not a wise option to keep swapping or replacing parts.

There are many problems that needs repair and is advisable that you should replace printer than repair it. Even if you spend many bucks on repairing the printer so that you could read the message ( obviously as few lines are missing, this is indicative of hardware fault ).

If you want parts, you could buy a non working printer ( same model - used ) from :-

http://cgi.ebay.com/hp-color-inkjet-printer-cp1700-/250696571122?pt=BI_Toner&hash=item3a5eae18f2

As i mentioned you could try swapping, however it would be a gamble.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
