We have some videos we want to transfer to the computer. We are running Mac OSX with the Leopard software. When I attach the camera, I see the point and shoot icon for a short time and then I hear a beep and receive a pop up document screen that tells me I disconnected my item incorrectly and that I could lose data doing it. I cannot keep the point and shoot icon on the screen long enough to even open it and install the Mac software. Please help. Our model is older. It is the small white model from at least 2 years ago.

Put the batteries in the camera, then connect via the USB flip connection. The camera will show up on the desktop like a flash drive does. Open it when it shows up. Drill until you find the avi movies and drag them to your desktop. You may have to convert them to quicktime files. If you cannot use the software that came with the camera (it does work), you can import the sections into iMovie.
