Most Nokia handsets have a button on the keyboard to do this.
Try looking for a button that shows "T9" on that.
Long press it, and the predictive text mode will be toggled.
You must disable your Predictive text option, T9® predictive text mode allows you to type words with only one keystroke per letter, and the phone interprets what word you want. For example, to type the, press 8, 4, 3. To enable/disable T9® predictive text mode, select Options. Scroll to and select Prediction on or off.
For you to switch to predictive text or T9, just go to your "Text Message" window, when on that application window please select on your "options" button on your cell phone.
You'll have a pop up with scroll options that would either say 'predictive text', just ok the T9 or "Predictive Text" option and you would be able to have predictive text switched on.
