I have a Cannon i9900 and I love it! Bought a new computer running Vista x64. Went to the web and downloaded the Vista x64 drivers for the printer and the Easy Print which I also like very much. The new computer loads the program but will not recognize the i9900 printer through that program. I can print to the printer otherwise. Help me, please [email protected]

you can do a search on the internet for the drivers. you do not have to specifically go to the manufacturer. if you do want to get it from them you can download it from their website. just put in your model number and it will pull up the drivers specific for that model

Vista is known for these driver issues. Make sure you have all the latest MS updates and also go to the cannon website and look for any updated drivers for vista 64 and install them.

This is probably your best bet as windows XP had alot of copatibility issues with HP printers too, I had to wait till an update finely came out.

I went to the cannon website but I don't know  the type of printer it is. Your solution is to download and install the print driver that matches the new operating system VISTA? tha tthe new computer has.

The bad news first... Vista hates and will not drive cannon products.
The other bad news... Cannon went out of the printer business and never wrote a vista driver.
Now some more bad news... vista is not really as fully developed as the XP os and don't really know if it will ever be, it's pretty, but it's one problem after another.
The solution is either buy new printer/scanner or revert Ur system to an XP os. This is the sort if issue that windows went back to selling and supporting XP.
This is a very traveled road!

Turn on your printer and plug the USB on your computer, most of the drivers are already preinstalled on Vista, and if it ask you to search for drivers, select "search on Windows Update", the drivers are located there (I have an EPSON Stylus Photo RX425 on Vista Ultimate x64 and that's how I installed mine)

I have an Epson Stylus Rhoto R220 inkjet printer for 10 months and i would like to know if its going to work with Vista Windows PC or it won't recognize my printer. How do I upgrade it or get it compatible ?Thaks
