I DID NOT PAY FOR INFO ON HOW TO GET THE CODE. WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IS THE CODE TO THE STEREO WITHOUT GOING THROUGH ALL THE MOTIONS. SOMEBODY HAS TO HAVE THIS CODE, THIS PROBLEM IS SO COMMON. HELP ME OUT.

  • mkprarat77 Sep 17, 2010

THE STEREO DOES NOT HINT OR SAY ANY KIND OF BRAND NAME. ALSO, THAT HONDA WEBSITE IS ABSOLUTELY NOT UP TO DATE WITH TITLE TRANSFERS AND NEW OWNER VEHICLE REGISTRATION. I ALREADY TRIED THAT ****. I HAVE SEEN YOUR NAME (MIDWEST-TEK) ON MORE THAN JUST THIS WEBSTE. YOU GOTTA HAVE A FEW CODES YOU HAVE GIVEN OTHERS OVER TIME. ONE OF THOSE JUST MIGHT WORK FOR ME. C'MON BRO, HELP ME OUT!

  • mkprarat77 Sep 17, 2010

DID NOT RECIEVE ANY INFORMATION THAT I ALREADY DIDN'T KNOW.

Well first i need to ask is it a factory stereo? if so what is the stereo that is installed manufacturer. Is it a blaupunkt or a kenwood or does it not say. There are 7 brands in this year honda and i have a code calculator for 2 of them. If you CANNOT find a code written on the radio or on a card in the glovebox (or similar "hidden" place ) then please read on

Please note:

The majority of HONDA codes are NOT readily available as access is required to the original factory database which is not commercially available to buy

HONDA radios are made by the following manufacturers

ALPINE
AUTOSOUND
BLAUPUNKT
CLARION
KENWOOD
MATSUSHITA
PIONEER

The only Honda radio codes that are available to be calculated for free from anywhere on the Internet will be radios made by

BLAUPUNKT.
These will have a Serial Number beginning with BP and another number beginning with
7 *** *** *** found on a label on the radio casing

If it is not the blaupunkt, Then you will have to contact honda directly and give them some information and then and only then will you be able to get the code. I know this is a hassle but this can be done by following this link https://radio-navicode.honda.com/. If you need further information please feel free to let me know. Thanks, Midwest-tek

actually this is what i should have said about getting the code from honda Thankfully Honda has a website that just requires some information and you can get the code for your vehicle. Entering the code can vary but most times the radio will say code and you use the station presets to enter the code in. Look for more tips to come for specific vehicles.

Step 1: This is the only step. Just follow this link and enter the required information.
    https://radio-navicode.honda.com/

Information You Will Need Vehicle VIN Number Phone Number and Zip Code matching those on file Device Serial Number: Radio and / or Navigation Hours of Operation This automated process is available Monday to Friday 4:00 AM to 9:00 PMPST (Pacific Standard Time) , 4:00 AM to 6:30 PM on Saturdays , and4:00 AM to 9:00 PM PST on Sundays.

Unless it is a blaupunkt no one has the code except honda. This is a anti-theft stereo. there is not one code for every stereo. There is a unique code given to the stereo based off the serial number and the vin of the vehicle. That is the only way to get the code if you lost the card that is given to the original owner or it is not written down in the manual. Unfortunetly as it says there is no one outside of honda with that information. You can simply fill out the information which is vin, name and phone that is on record and serial number of the stereo and they will give you the code to unlock it. Its an automated process and if you have troubles you can call them. an again f it is a blaupunkt stereo i can generate you a code, If not please follow the steps on honda website to have you anti-theft unlock code given to you. If you need further assistance please feel free to comment thanks, Midwest-tek

An yes the problem is so common that is why honda made an automated website dedicated to giving you the specific code that is programmed in the stereo. It shouldn't be difficult to follow the form to process the information an retrieve the code. Sometimes the correct answer isn't always the most favorable, But it is the correct way to solve your problem. The only reason i could see people not using this method is if for some reason they have a stereo from an unknown source. Other then that its quick and easy. Please take the time to accept/rate the solution accordingly. Thanks, midwest-tek

LIke it says you can call them and give them the title information such as previous owner and they can generate you the info as well as update the status of ownership on the vehicle. They have no problem giving you the code if you own the vehicle. An no one code will work every code is individual to the car.

The code should be in the user manual of your car. If you no longer have it then you should go to a Honda dealer and they are going to tell you, usually for a very small fee (or for free if you,re his regular customer).
If you're an USA resident you can get it for free directly from Honda

Every radio has it's own code - there is no master one. The only ones that know it are the Honda dealers - because it was set when the radio was manufactured. As i said the only thing you can do is to get it directly from them.

Can I retrieve the radio code with the Odyssey vin number? The code is not in the glove. I do not have the manual.

No, the stereo unlock code cannot be retrieved with the VIN.

You can get the unlock code for free from any Honda Dealer. You will need to give them the stereo serial number from the back of the stereo or written on a card (or possibly the manual) provided when the vehicle was new. If the dealer removes the stereo to retrieve the serial number they will charge around $100.

DANGER: Do not try to enter the code randomly! The stereo will lock out after 10 incorrect attempts.

What is the radio code for a 96 Honda accord radio serial number #93975247

Is this stereo the one that came with your car? If so call up honda or acura customers relations and if they cant help you they can give you a number that can. You will need your stereo serial # or your VIN # to get the code. They will ask you a couple questions before giving you the number; your name your address. Here is a phone number that is toll free for Acura 1-800-382-2238..... You may ask why Acura, well to tell you the truth Acura is just a higher priced higher end Honda!!!!! ;-) I hope this works for you. It did for me.

UnfortunatelyHONDA codes are only available from the Main Dealer or by using a Radio Decoding Service who will connect a laptop to read the working code inside your radio`s memory chip (EEPROM)

Anti theft light blinking on stock radio in 92 honda accord

You must go through your local honda dealer, (usually parts department) give them the numbers off the labels on the radio, along with the VIN number of the car. may have to prove ownership. They can call Honda and get that information for you. Process is alot easier if you someone that works in the parts department, if not the honda parts department, then another parts department at another car dealer.
