Question about Bose 3 2 1 GSX System

2 Answers

Rmote control I dropped the RC and now the red light won't turn off and it consumes the batteries overnight. The RC works fine but the light doesn't go off. The red light only lighted before when any button was pressed now is on all the time. Probably there's a contact inside the unit that is in short circuit. I tried to open the case but after loosing the only screw that is on sight the case still is tight.

Also, I bought Harmony 890 Advanced Universal Remote to unify all appliances under one control and I haven't been able to make it work with the Bose 321 System, although I did run the required process suggested by the software of the Harmony remote control. All other electronic equipments are responding well to the Univeral RC. Any suggestions?

I tried that but the case is too tight sitck together and I'm afraid that it'll brake.
Where are the holders located on the unit so I try to apply pressure on those sides only?

  • Ernies May 17, 2008

Only one screw is visible. There no stickers that could be covering other screws

  • Ernies May 17, 2008

    Hey, I got it opened

  • Ernies May 17, 2008

Guess what I did fix it. Now the light is off and the unit is working.
Do you know how to program the Harmony Universal RC unit to replace the Bose RC?

I also think that you dont have knowledge of properly opening the bose system so please dont do that .since it may damage more ,and let the tecnical person check it and repair it...because if you get success in opening the case ,than also you will not be able to repair it...........

Stunt copter won't sync

I presume you have lights & sound on the controller when you turn it on - fourteen quick beeps and then a different toned fifteenth beep. The screen lights (blue). Insert the battery (lettering facing up toward the helo fuselage unitl it's seated all the way - an LED inside the fuselage, visible from behind, quick flashes and then begins a slower blinking.

Once the helo battery is inserted, turn on the controller, which starts the aforementioned beeping. On the last controller beep the helo's LED will stay lighted, indicating the helo & controller are synched.

I had a problem making sure the battery was inserted all the way into the helicopter. You'll know it's inserted properly when the LED inside the helo flashes.

The battery doesn't work fine

If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Not sure, but I've heard a bad hazard switch can cause strange problems.
Also, if your truck has a body control module that controls interior and lights, that may be your problem, too. Good luck.

Get new battery, I have 4 batteries, all will turn it on, get horn lights, sound. 2 do the exact same thing yours is doing, 1 runs about 5 min then starts into your problem, 1 is good and will run for about 20 mins.

When the alternator doesn't supply current, the battery light on the dash would light up. (assuming the battery lightbulb is working) Next would be to doubt the voltage regulator not doing a proper job, but usually its either dead or working.

Ghost consumers can be tracked when the engine is off and removing / attaching the battery lead causes quite a bit of spark. Measure the Amps with a multimeter when turned off. When it's in the 2 Amps and upwards region - remove one fuse group after the other to see where most of it goes. Then go through all the separate consumers in that group.

If it's a low current preferably below the 1 Amp - the battery might not be as healthy anymore as suspected.

Janice check your charger it could not be charging the batteries. Now always charge your batteries overnight while you sleep When you get up lights on the charger should be red and green if they are red and yellow then the charger hasn't fully charged the batteries and overnight should be more than enough time to charge fully. This could indicate a bad battery remember new doesn't always mean good. Like they say always charge before use and this goes for new batteries too you need to charge new batteries nightly for 10-15 days before they start operating at 100%. If when you plug in the charger before bed and the lights are red and green then there is a problem with the charger or the batteries or the charger circuit Hope this helps you

Remote

this is from your producer: Product Description ? BASIC OPERATION OK ? everyone knows what a handheld remote control unit does for your home electronics. You can control your basic four (4) components: TV, DVD player, VHS player, Cable or Satellite tuner. Setup is simple for these basic 4? put in the batteries, look up the manufacturer of your component (Mitsubishi TV) and note the possible 3-digit ?program codes?? turn on the component, press the remote control?s PROGRAM button until the light stays red, press the component button (i.e., TV), enter in the ?program code?, and press the ?power off button? ? if the component (i.e., TV) turns off: you are programmed! If the component (i.e., TV) doesn?t turn off, then repeat the sequence using another of the manufacturer?s program codes until it does. Easy ? took me about 3 minutes to program my old Zenith TV (in the bedroom), my SONY DVD player, and my Mitsubishi S-VHS player. No problems at all. HOWEVER, in case you do run into a component for which the ?program codes? don?t work? you can go through a sequence to self-identify the coding. While I won?t go into it here, it is only slightly more time consuming than the other method. As my codes worked fine, I can not address this aspect, so I won?t make a claim we didn?t test.
