Must start from the front end of the set.
1.Check power supply to the main board if absent then check the SMPS. ( please check my tips column in my profile for SMPS repair tips)
2. If power comes to the main board look for visible areas of component damage . If not the convegence section is faulty.
Check by swapping with a board.
3. If the TV has power and screen then check the signal, the input processing section. Switch inputs to confirm.

Most likely the power supply board or the fuse. Insignia is really an LG TV. It is Best Buy's house brand. The Geek squad can fix it.

This might help ,the Fix for Pink Picture on another Set was to replace the Formator Board and the DVI Cable .
Formator Board PN# 263247
DVI Cable PN# 263254
The way to Enter Service Menu for most RCA is to turn TV off, Then Press and Hold at same Time
CH- and Vol- wait untill TV turns on then release and Service Menu should come up.
Encompass Parts Distribution 1-800-638-3328 they might have the Parts you need.

PHILIPS 50 Inch HD DLP Projection TV the picture went out suddenly and there is not sound but a loud humming-buzzing coming from the set...any ideas on what could be wrong or if it can be fixed?

It's the optical block (color wheel) and the same thing happenned to our Philips 50" DLP. From what I've read, it's not worth the trouble & $$ to fix. Dig a hole!

Its the color wheel assy. Its changing speed due to worn bearings. You may also hear a hum coming from the rear of the TV. Seek an RCA authorized service center to resolve this.
