The Casio FX-300MS cannot compute directly the logarithm in a base other than 10 or e (natural logs.) But do not despair: there is a way to do the calculations albeit indirectly. One has to use the relation:
log in base a of number b =log_a(b)=log(b)/log(a) where log stands for log in base 10.
You can also use a similar relation valid for natural logs
log_a(b)=ln(b)/ln(a).
First, get a set of composite Video/audio cable, it will have Yellow (Video), Red (Right channel audio), White (Left channel audio) with RCA plugs at both ends.
You can choose AV1 input at the back of the TV, all you have to do is to match the RCA jacks on the back of the TV to the color of the RCA plugs, same for the connection at the DVD player.
Set the TV to AV1 and watch you DVD.
Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
To remove the base first lay the TV face down on a soft quilt or couch, the base is held on with four screws that go into the back. With the screws removed pull the stand/base straight out the bottom.
Thats all

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily. http://homenol.blogspot.com/ http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/
Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.
Hi,
Your calculator cannot compute directly the logarithms in an arbitrary base, but you have the means to obtain that indirectly.
You can use either of the conversion formulas shown on the screen capture (on the right). On screen capture ln stands for natural logarithm.
If you want binary logarithms (logs in base 2) you use the relation log_2 (x) =ln(x)/ln(2)
or log_2(x)=log(x)/log(2)
Use whichever formula is shorter to key in (without pressing the 2nd key).
The stands, from what I've personally seen, are usually attached with 2-4 screws on the back of the tv or sometimes on the underside of the stand. I've seen it even where the bottom piece of the stand pops off to reveal the screw(s).
Lay the TV face down on a flat surface covered with a cloth. Back out all the screws holding the base stand. Hold the back and front against the base shank while tightening all the screws through the base. Make sure they are tight.
If you lay the TV down on something soft but firm (towel on the floor or counter) put the screen face down on the back you should see 4 screw holes with the an (S) next to them. They are located at the center near the bottom. If you remove these screws the stand should then slide out of the bottom of the TV. Good Luck
