what need next is a service manual , it is not free,

look for other output voltages such as 3.3V and insure that

5V is running OK, it could also be on the other board

but more details can be found on the service manual.

E1 is a 100 uF 16 VDC capacitor. I have been repairing these units lately and have experienced some of the same symptoms (LED goes red but doesn't transition to green after 30 seconds like it should). I have been able to repair some of these units. Make sure the power supply is working properly before spending significant time on the D2A board. The power supply is responsible for supplying 12, 5, and 3.3 VDC to the D2A board. A defective PS will measure 14.5 instead of 12, 6 instead of 5, and 2.9 instead of 3.3. The AC ripple should be about 5 mV on the 3.3 and the 5 volt supplies when loaded. The 12 volt can be as high as 50 mV on a good PS. The culprits are C12 (1000uf) and C10 (470 uf) which are the filter capacitors for the 3.3 and 5V outputs respectively. C12, the capacitor for the 3.3 V output is especially critical because it is used to feed the voltage regulator and overvoltage shutdown circuit. D7 is a hot part and can also fail sometimes. I have repaired 50% of my units just by changing these capacitors. I still have units where the D2A board is bad with a known good power supply. If anyone has more info on the D2A (like a schematic) please pass it along

42 plasma tv started experiencing the well known power off red light symptoms. Was able to power on & off for a while to get the set on. Right before the capacitors came in the TV would not power on...

Only if it is completely dead. If you have lights or LED coming on then it's not the main fuse, I would say that you changed the caps, but there are some that you missed. Look hard again and also for maybe a resistor in the power supply.

VAOVA twintuner DTR 250 GB not receiving anything since 1st October, not showing time in LED display segment, but is showing red & green lights (remote control receptors?)

Just fixed mine - replaced TIP31C (Q1 with heatsink) on power supply board. Also changed 100uF (E3) & 470uF (E4) capacitors, although probably not necessary.

Remote not workin

what's happened here is the cm61 ng and the reciver box have lost there connection you will have to "rebind" them then it will be fine -

THE BINDING OPERATION DESCRIBED BELOW IS REQUIRED IF:

· Any of the system components (room unit or relay box) are replaced

· HC60NG has incorrect or no binding data stored (e.g. when pre-bound system pack components have been mismatched)

· Interference with the RF signal has caused a communication failure

During the binding procedure keep approximately 1m distance between the room unit and the HC60NG

1 Turn off mains supply to HC60NG for 10 seconds. Re-connect supply.

2 Press and hold the HC60NG push button for 15 seconds to reset previously stored data. The red LED will start to flash at 0.1 s on/0.9 s off. Release the push button.

3 Press and hold the HC60NG push button for 5 seconds to enter the binding mode. Red LED flashing at 0.5 s on/0.5 off confirms the binding mode has been entered.

4 Move the CM67NG slider to the OFF position (CM61 push the OFF button) and press the TEMP , TEMP and PROG 1 buttons together. The CM61/67NG will display InSt.

5 Press the i button to send the binding signal. The red LED is switched off on the receiver box to confirm the successful binding operation. If the red light still flashes push the repeat steps 1-3 and press the the i button until binding is successful.

hope this is helpful
