My laptop has no sound

Please add more details but I can suggest,
Control Panel > Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices > Sounds and Audio Devices, and try to change your default device to Realtek HD Audio Output. If that doesn't work restart your computer (if your audio only stopped working today)

Button for sound on my laptop dont work

The most likely causes for this is:
External Speakers not turned on. Turn them on...
Driver for the sound device isn't installed: If you see the little speaker icon down the bottom right hand corner of your screen (near the clock), your sound card device driver is working well.
If it is not visable, the sound card device driver may or may not be working. Go into the start button, select settings (if available), then control panel, Sounds and Audio Devices.
Select the Audio tab Ensure that you have a 'default device' set.
If you get any errors when going into the sound and audio devices tab stating that you have no audio devices installed, then its most likely a driver issue. In this case, refer to your local computer shop to have the audio drivers installed.

Driver for the keyboard sound function not installed or not running. Solution: Reboot then test it. Reinstall the driver, test it.

No audio device installed on my laptop

I'm not sure whether this is the exact same problem, as I was having, but mine just randomly quit while I was listening to music this morning. I got messages saying "No audio device installed", but when I went to device manager, all my audio devices said they were working properly. If this is the case with you, simply restart your computer. It may take a couple restarts, but this should work. My sound was back even before it finished shutting down.

If it helps anyone trying to get to the root of this problem, I am running XP on a Dell B130 laptop, with the following devices listed in Device Manager:
Audio Codecs
Legacy Audio Drivers
Legacy Video Capture Devices
Media Control Devices
SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC
Video Codecs
Hope this helps!
