My remote stopped working, I bought a universal remote but can't find any codes for the GPX, or can I reprogram my remote? Never done this before and am technologically challenged (okay I'm a GRANDMA!). Any help would be appreciated.
Hey! I was having the same problem programming my universal remote and I finally figured it out tonight!! Daewoo apparently owns GPX or something so try the Daewoo codes, it worked for my VCR!! Good Luck!!

As you have likely discovered, most universal remotes do not list GPX as a device. GPX is a low cost version of Sony devices, in most cases the Sony device codes will operate GPX devices. I have a RCA 3 device remote that I use the Sony TV code on and it operates the GPX TV just fine. Hope this helps out! Most people do not know GPX is the cheap versions of Sony devices.
Sometimes the universal remotes do not compromise fully with certain models especially with combo models.
So you might a different type of universal type to connect with the Quasar codes, but it is ideal if there is the model mentioned in the manual of the remote.
Volume and channel working is what is most important and should be considered good enough.
Spoke with Starlight Marketing Ltd today who represent Disney. They said there is no codes for the Disney TV's. They have been trying to find out what the code is but since it is a private brand tv it does not have a code for a different remote. As I stated we bought the Pirates of the Carribean TV/DVD. My husband was fooling around with the remote and punched in 0216 and the remote read the code. The person from Disney said we just got lucky. Said that there were no universal remotes that would work with these TV's. This code was also used by the Haier brand tv. Hope this info helps anyone with a Disney TV. Try the Phillips website >HERE< which links to their Universal Remote support centre. Unfortunately you haven't given the details of your actual remote but you should be able to find it and download a manual or email them direct.
Sanyo TVs use all these codes:
0506, 0311, 0612, 0002,
0428, 0802, 0412, 0619,
0208, 0157, 0292, 0036,
0011, 0370, 0072, 0216,
0217, 0104, 0045, 0009,
Hey I have the same situation Go to MR REMOTE.com and give them your tv model usually will have a new manufacture remote under $30.00 ( just add Batteries and it works)no codes to enter!)
I think the Memorex is lacking on the universal codes Especially for the DVD/TV/VCR combos
