Question about HP Pavilion dv2000t 14.1" Notebook Laptop PC (Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz, 1GB RAM, 100GB HDD, D... PC Notebook
The first thing that you need to check is to make sure the computer is not getting to hot. A common problem when people get new computers is that they will set the computer where the fan vents are not getting good air follow.
Next thing to look at is how long have you had the computer and what you have done on the computer before the problem started happening. If you just got the computer it is possible that the hard just lost a sector where Windows is installed on the hard drive. Note to worry this is a normal thing that can happen. This is why hard drives have extra sectors to cover one going bad and normally you do not he notice this unless it is a sector where Windows files are at.
So if you have not be running the computer long I would backup your files on the computer and do a restore of the system back to the factor install this way you have a clean install of Windows on the system. If after doing this you still have trouble then you most likely have some kind of hardware problem.
