We have a Sharp refrigerator-freezer

We have a Sharp refrigerator-freezer either model SJ-41M or SJ-37M.
There is a waft of boiled cabbages (unpleasant) whenever it is opened and closed. I have washed the entire unit out using warm water and bicarbonate of soda and yet the problem persists. There isn't even any cabbage in there, or have had.
I hope you have some suggestions to our problem as we only bought it less than two years ago.
