Question about Buffalo Technology AirStation WLI-U2-KG54-AI 802.11g/b (wli-us-kg54-ai) Wireless Adapter

With WLI-U2-KG54-AI my computer freezes

Hi,
for some time now i have been having problems with Buffalo Air-Station Wireless-G (WLI-U2-KG54-AI). When I turn my computer I have to wait for 15 minutes before I can use my computer because it freezes - when I unplug Adapter before powering computer, it works fine!
When I bought Adapter it worked fine for some time. In the meanwhile I set-up another user profile on computer, but I am pretty sure it worked okay in the beginning. Thanks in advance.
V.

I had same problem with my Buffalo, my computer freeze after some time I was not working with it,most certainly when I watched movies. You might have a problem with USB power saving, I solved it and it works fine for me now. Go to deviece manager, find USB root hub device, list its properties and at power managment tab, uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. Please let me know if it works for you too lakk@azet.sk

I have a buffalo airstation WHRG 125 and I have recently purchased a HP dv4 with a broadcom wireless adapter that accepts wireless g/b connections. I have a wireless g network operating and my other HP...

The OS on the computer is vista.
I think you will need to change the advanced wireless settings on the wireless router.
you can try changing the following settings on the wireless router.
Beakon Interval = 75
RTS threshold = 2307
Fragmentation threshold - 2306
Reduce the MTU 1400.
change the wireless channel.

You can also add the network manually on the vista computer.
open network and sharing center ==> manage network connections
If you see your network listed then highlight the network and click remove at the top.
Now click ADD option at the top.
Then select the option add network manually.
enter the wireless network name and security settings of the wireless network and then try to connect.
to change the wireless settings you will need to open the set up interface of the router.

Wireless driver uninstalls itself after restarts

if it's a usb-dongle, the driver's will be reinstalled every time you reconnect the device. the drivers are on your computer, but have to reconnect with the network adapter when it's reconnected. if the problem is the same after a reboot without disconnecting the network adapter, then there is either a problem with the usb-device, or a driver management problem in windows.
if the usb-device works without problem on another computer, the you need to reinstall windows.

Buffalo KG54 lan utility

There should have been drivers with it when you bought it. If not, here's a link: http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/234540/buffalo-wli-u2-kg54-ai-wireless-usb2.0-adapter-driver-1.01.02.0002-windows-98se-me-2000-xp-free-download.html If you install these drivers, your computer should detect the device. You will, though, still need a modem to be able to connect to the internet. I hope this helps, and if not, post back here, Yannick.

System Freeze after WLI-CB-G54s is inserted

Restart your Compaq Evo N1020v laptop without the card inserted. Go into the BIOS (by hitting F10), change the UMA Frame Buffer Size from 32MB to 64MB (located in the Advanced menu), reboot and install the card drivers and insert thecard. This should fix the problem.
