Microsoft has a customer service line specifically for this kind of problem... the best bet would be to contact them and have someone sit on the phone with you while you run through the steps to connect your Xbox. If this is not an option, try checking your internet options on your PC and make sure that a system link is available and active, then go through the Xbox again and turn the system link off and back on, this should reboot the connection process between your PC and Xbox and allow them to connect properly... all while connected to an active internet connection of course.

Hope this helps :)

I cant connect my xbox live using a cable connection from my xbox to laptop how do i get the connction

That would actually be a "Line" connection. Or "Link". You will have to use a cat5 cord, and connect it to your internet source. (NOTE) just because logic says you can connect a laptop or pc to your Xbox360, simply because they use the same cords, doesn't mean it works that way. You can however use your laptop as a "Media server" in direct connection. This only allows you to transfer music and movies from your laptop to the 360. Not an internet pass through. Sorry.

Can i connect to xbox live using vodafone mobile broardband usb stick

hi there,
you can't connect the usb stick to the xbox directly, but you can connect your xbox to your pc/laptop with the broadband usb stick in your pc/laptop and share the connection. while this will work, it's not going to be very fast and if you intend to play games online there will be a big lag. But it's better than nothing if that is all you have for internet connection. Anyway here's how. connect your laptop to your xbox using an ethernet cable, and have your usb dongle in your pc/laptop connected to the internet.
now depending on what os(operating system) you have on your computer, navigate to control panel>network and sharing>manage network connections.
once in here you want to enable sharing on your connection and tick the box allow other users to connect through this computers connection. then you want to select local area connection on the home network connection menu.
now you can test your xbox live connection to see if it connects to the internet, if it does happy gaming :)
If it fails, try making your connection to a public rather than private connection. If this method fails, try restarting your pc/laptop and then your xbox and go through the process again.
I know this can be tricky and alot of trial and error, but if this is all you have to connect to the internet and you really want to get online then it will be worth the effort. Hope this helps.

Y cant i sign on xbox live

If you are Using an internet cable box, you can connect thorugh you PC, thats what I did. Setup your pc to accept internet through USB Afterwards go to your network settings if you have windows XP or later and go to look at the status of you usb internet connection, go to sharing and then check "allow other computers to share this internet connection. you can also have a wireless usb card for internet and will also have internet I did that as well. Then you connect you ethernet from PC to 360. If you have a router, you can run one from one of the connections in your router.

My disc wont work i left it in my xbox 360 for a few hours after playing it and then it mysteriusly broke

it probably broke becuase you moved the xbox while the game was playing or you put the xbox from lying down to standing up or standing up to lying down this causes the disk to shift inside of it and scratches the disk when it loads up im sorry to hear of that

Dont no how to setup my xbox live using a t-mobile dongle in my pc???

Okay, here's what you do. Set up the dongle in your PC so internet is running.

Now Connect your Xbox to your PC with an ethernet cable.

Next Go to Start> Control Menu>Network Connections

Choose your internet of choice
Right click it
Choose properties
Click the Advanced tab
Check "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection"

Now try connecting to Xbox live. If that doesn't work go to Xbox Live Network settings and test connection.

Hope this helps you

Xbox connected through network cable to pc ! what do i need to perform on pc through my wireless usb port connected to go online

If you are running Windows Vista on your PC here is how you can route your XboX360 through your PC/Laptop in order to get on Xbox Live Wirelessly:

1. Set up a Static IP address in Vista. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Network & Sharing Center -> Manage Network Connections

2. Right-click on Local Area Connection and go to Properties

3. Double-click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IPv4)

4. Set the option to "Use the following IP address"

IP Address: 192.168.100.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: blank

5. Just to be safe, also set the options to "Use the following DNS Server Address"

Preferred: 208.67.222.222
Alternate: 208.67.220.220

(You may use your ISPs DNS entries also, these are just the OpenDNS ones that should work for everyone)

6. Under the "advanced" tab, you need to check "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection."

7. Right-click on your wireless connection, go to properties, click the "advanced" tab and check the same box to allow other users to share the connection.

8. On your Xbox360 go to the network configuration menu and enter the following settings:

IP address: 192.168.100.5
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.100.1

DNS1: 208.67.222.222
DNS2: 208.67.220.220

Now you should be able to get on the internet with your Xbox as it will be using your PC/Laptop's wireless connection.

Then installed norton and it blocked it. just changed firewall settings so ip matched xbox as an allowed sharing device and it worked ok. But it would not do it before i reinstalled windows. a bit extreme but it worked. Now i can read all but my video files after a week of it working fine.lol

Xbox live is not working

How are you connecting Your Xbox console upto your Internet ? if your Connecting Via WiFi, Make sure you have the Xbox compatible WiFi adaptor, if you are connecting Via a Local Area network, Ensure that your Console is hooked up Directly to Your Router, and if your connecting Via a Shared internet connection thru a PC, Ensure it is Hooked up correctly and also that your computer is set up to allow sharing the internet connection, That sometimes makes Xbox live faulty.

Also another problem for IP addresses not working is Due to your Internet service provider, Some broadband companies constantly renew IP addresses changing them every so often which the Xbox doesnt like. I would suggest contacting your Service provider and seeing if they have any Technical Support !

CONNECT XBOX 360 TO COMPUTER

you are only sharing files with your pc to xbox, you cannot connect to the net throught the pc, the xbox has to have connection to a modem/router, or a router itself which is connected to modem.
