Question about Insignia Sport MP3 Player

3 Answers

Video Conversion I got a used 2GB sport without the media conversion CD for videos. Is there any other program that will handle getting a viewable video on the player or is there a way to get a copy of the conversion program. I checked the Insignia website and didn't see it there.

The CD would be good, but if that's not possible maybe the the settings for the "special MPEG-4 format could be posted and I can use another conversion program to do the job.

    I have the same problem.
No CD with player and need the specs for the video conversion.
I have Arcsoft Media Conv. 2 but this version does not include the specifications for the Insignia.
Does any have the CD that came with the player and will post all of the specs for conversion.

    Thanks,
    M

It is one of those "special" MPEG-4 formats. The CD contains ArcSoft MediaConverter 2 for video conversion for several Insignia players. I can upload it somewhere for you to download, but I think it is commercial software and that technically would be piracy. Please do advise if you need it.

Converted Videos won't play on my Ematic E6 jr

I suggest you try this conversion program and if it works the uninstall the other conversion programs.
Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine the type of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI and WMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the video files to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer. What type of format do you need for videos

The supplied Sansa Media Converter program will handle just about any video format you might have on your computer. The Sansa will not play any of the formats from your computer without the conversion.

Hi i am not able to play video on my meizu 2gb video player...i used the provided software to convert the video, but still it does not work. When i click on the video, black screen comes for a second and...

Hey! I was a meizu user and used the provided software to convert video. But, you know the conversion speed is very slow and the output quality is not so good. And now I am using this Wondershare Video Converter which works well with high conversion speed and excellent output quality. You can also have a free try of it. Hope that helps.

There is a Video Conversion Tool for this player, since it only will accept SMV format. If the Video Conversion Tool does not recognize the files that are in FLV format, you will need to get an additional free program such as Riva FLV Encoder to convert the FLV's to AVI format. Once the videos are in AVI format, the Video Conversion Tool will recognize them. Here are some additional notes from your user's manual:

Video Transfer Tools
Note:
VIDEO2SMV_V41 only reformats video files. Relevant third party codecs and players must be used to support the previous video format. Only if your computer is able to play the source files will VIDEO2SMV_V41 be able to properly convert the files to .SMV format.
VIDEO2SMV_V41 is used without installing: Copy the folder "SMV Conversion Tool" to your PC. Enter the folder and double-click video2smv.exe to run the conversion tool.

Cannot put on Video files in my sony digital media player.

I have a Sony Digital Media Player NWZ A-726 and it works really good. Of course you install the Walkman software then use "Any Video Converter" software as a tool for conversion of anything you like. Enjoy!

Unable to convert video

Thanks to ZZAMAMEE I found Kate's Video Converter (free) 4.0 and I was able to use it to convert the video into a format that the video conversion software supplied with the Coby MP-705 was able to recognize. To do the conversion select AVI, then advanced. Next select XviD MPEG-4 Codec for the video compressor, and WMAudio Encoder DMO for the Audio Compressor. Select the Resize Output Target size of 320 X 240 pixels and for Type select Fit to Target size, then apply. This will take you back to the original conversion screen. To select your output directory you need to select Settings, then select the settings option and browse to your output directory. After you select this then select the convert button. At this time you can change the name of the video if you want.

Now you can open Video Converter (the software that came with the Coby player), and use your new video as the input file. Select the output file, and you can also copy it straight to the player by selecting the MP3 Player tab and navigating to your video folder on your player. Hilight the input video name in the list of files in the bottom portion of the program, then select the little cog icon midway down on the right side and set the output file type to AVI, the size to 220 X 176 and select OK. Hit the conversion button and once the conversion is complete and it has copied your files you are done and ready to watch the videos.
