On the inside of your front panel, the one you can open by pushing to the right and pulling down on it, is a thread guide in color . Follow each color and count the threading points to be sure you thread each one.Thread your loopers FIRST and your needles LAST. Also, the lower looper must be threaded so that the thread goes through the slot and stays there.

The owner's manual is the best informational source. You can also search YouTube videos for threading tutorials that may be helpful.

NOTE: ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot before threading the upper thread!!!

Why does upper thread break when I try to sew zig zag stitch?

Your tension sounds too tight, try lowering it on the upper thread. Or you may be using a cheap thread which frays easily and frays in the needle. Try using a longer zigzag to see if that works. Is straight stitch smooth?

The top thread won't pick up the bobbin thread

Throughly review Owner's manual, they are usually quite clear and have excellent troubleshooting. No manual, try MFG website, or email their customer service. Or try manualslib.com.
You will want the manual next time anyway.

How do you thread a 9217 Singer Sewing maching?

First put a spool (thread catch to the bottom of the pin) on the spool pin and put the appropriate size cap on top. Then snap the thread into the guide on the top near the arrows. Draw the thread following the arrows, down and then up before coming down again to the needle. Then either use the threader or draw the thread through the needle so that the thread is coming down the groove of the needle.

Singer has the manual available on their support site. The direct link to the manual is http://www.singerco.com/uploads/download/1b31eb32672226a4703511ff5673ec1d3cc95d6f.pdf . See page 5 if my description isn't clear. You can also order a copy by using the search feature here: http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals .

I hope this helps.

The top thread tension is on number 9, but still not good enought and makes an exptra loops under fabrics.... Do I need to replace the top thread tension mechanism?

from your fault description there is definitely no or insufficient tension on your top thread. Providing you are absolutely certain that the thread is into the tension device fully but this is happening, then it is faulting.

You could try cleaning the tension device - turn to zero and floss it with dental floss. Or a selvage edge of a clean piece of cotton waste. (providing you can get at the device, it does vary on some machines.) You could dip the fabric into denatured alcohol to help clean out if there is a real build up. Thread sheds dye particles, particularly dark threads like black, and worse for cheap thread. The particles and any loose thread fibres will build up in the tension device with time.

Or yes, replace it if you are able to do this but often cleaning will help.

I have a Bernina 530 Record and i'm trying to but

You would be best to download an instruction manual for your machine as it explains clearly, with diagrams how to thread and insert the bobbin. You probably wont find the 530 manual however download a copy for Bernina 530-2 or 532-2 as they are almost identical to the 530.

Tension problem on Brother ES 2000

I have a Brother CE 4000 Computer sewing machine. I had the same problem when I first used it. I worked with it several hours but to no avail so I decided to stop and wait until my head clear..

I went back a couple of days later. Reread the manual and started over. I discovered my problem was that I was threading the bobbin wrong. Once I threaded it precisely as the manual stated it worked fine.

So this might be your problem. Make sure that the thread on the bobbin is wind on properly. It should be wound evenly. The bobbin must be threaded precisely as the manual says.
Try rethreading the bobbin and the machine
and see if that help.
