SOURCE: frigidaire gas range model fgf353cata

hi this is deffinately a problem with the thermostat and will need replacing what is happening is you are setting the temperature you want on the oven and then when the oven gets upto temperature it should tell the oven this is the right temp and cut down the gas supply to keep the oven at set temperature but when the thermostat fails the temperatur goes above the setting you choose so it cuts itself off as a safety feature to stop it setting fire to anything in the oven most cookers are set to do this so you could either source the part yourself and fit yourself but if you are not confident in working with or on gas appliances then i suggest you call someone out this is a relitively cheap repair so call someone out tell them what wrong and they will source part and replace it for you should only take a couple of days to get part but if you use a registered repair firm they should carry the part in stock as this is a common fault with most ovens hope this easis your mind a bit if you want to do it yourself you will nedd to get a manuall covering your unit for repairs but if unsure what you are doing leave it to pro as if you get it wrong you could spend more money where as if you call someone out they no what they are doing and should give you a warranty on the part and repair so this would be the best option hope this is some help to you good luck

SOURCE: After cooking my whirlpool Electric Range started

Hello,

Here is what my online service manual for the F2-EO error code says

F2 - E0 Shorted keypad (also called touch pad) 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock)

I hope this helps

SOURCE: KENMORE ELECTRIC RANGE MODEL NUMBER 790.9621340C

Hello,
The F10 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F10 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced .

I have a double oven kitchenaid natural gas range model KGRS505X. When I cook in the upper oven nothing I cook will brown. Buiscuits get cooked but are still ehite when done. What is the problem?

The top oven not maintaining heat why plenty of reasons depending on age could be a weak ignitor, bad temp sensor, is the oven light on if so oven stops heating after 30 seconds any oven maintaining set point temp will brown and if left long enough burn

My older model electric hotpoint selfcleaing range, lower oven self cleaning function is not working. what could be wrong, maybe i didn't set a control knob correctly, don't have a maual for t

Back to the fifties! If the lower oven cooks normally, the heating element probably is OK. For self cleaning the normal temperature setting is bypassed and the heating element is set to a substantially higher level. Your oven may be unable to self clean because operation of the knob may not actually start the cycle. The thermostat could need replacing even though normal cooking is OK.

Top burner over heated and burned our food then E2 F3 fault showed up on keypad. Burns the outside of the food but does not cook the inside. The oven was on bake not broil. Model GY396LXPS00

Hi.

E2 F3 means Oven temperature is too high (Cook mode).

The first part to be tested is the temp sensor. The sensor is located inside oven cavity and it is tested using a multimeter set on Ohms to read impedance at sensor contacts. At room temperature, sensor resistance should be 1K to 1.1K. If not, replace the sensor. If the sensor checks okay, check for a short to in element wiring (element stays always on). If element and sensor are OK replace the control.

Regards.

Stove does not work now that we have removed a broken element

Carleen,
Thanks for the reply.

OK... I know this sounds odd and all... but all of the components (elements in the oven specifically) have to be installed and working correctly for the oven to operate properly.

Most people don't know this, but even when the oven is turned off and sitting there peacefully waiting for something to cook, there is STILL 120 Volts at one of the terminals on the element. Know what that means? That means that it is constantly (always) powered up! It also means that it is a necessary component involved in applying 220 volts to all the OTHER (cook top burners anyone?) components.

So... to take care of this and to bring you oven (and cook top) back to life, ya gotta go get yourself a new element and install it. OK?

Do you have the model number? If you do, give it to me and I'll look up the part number for you, deal?

Maytag cook top too hot!

Remove cooktop and check to see how much insulation is below the top, on top of the oven cavity, You may want to install some more insulation. The specs for this range probably allows this to happen. you should not put anything on the top after cooking in the oven, as glass breakage may occur.
