It appears that the pump is not running at full capacity due to a restriction either in the inlet or outlet pipes. If there is a gauze filter in the inlet it may be clogged. Also check the non return valve on the inlet side to ensure it is moving freely and sealing properly as it could be worn and restricting the flow.

Onga JJ 600 household pump with pressure cylinder. Pump cuts out at pressure but won't cut in until water flow has stopped. Pump approx 5 yrs old and no previous problems.

It sounds like a pressure switch problem. Check that your tank pressure is at two psi below your cut-in pressure. If it is correct, then I suggest replacing the press switch.

No pressure for onga pump

check for water supply to the pump
If it is a bore pump then check for enough water in the bore, injection pressure to lift the water. It may be necessary to control the output from the pump to maintain the injection pressure. ( put a tap on the outlet side and turn partially off)
check for sucking air at pipe fittings

My electric onga water pump which pumps water from my watertank to the house will not turn off. I have looked for a leak but cannot find one.

What is the model of the pump? What type of control does it have - pressure switch, electronic controller or what?

Have an Onga JJ400 jet water pump several years old, pump is working but delivering poor water flow

Is the pump building pressure and shutting off? If the pump keeps running but not building pressure than there is most likely a problem with the well (low volume). Also check for a water logged bladder tank.

it sounds like your oil pump is not working good. check oil pressure at cold and what weight oil are you using. it may be too heavy for it to get up to the top of the motor quick.if there was any build up in the head when you changed the lifters you may want to flush the oil system good then put fresh oil back in

How do i prime an onga pump from repressuring to primiing

Open the priming port at the discharge pipe. Close the discharge valve and fill the priming port with water until it is full. Power up and switch on the pump. While running, slowly open the discharge valve until the water
pressure gage at the pump is 20 psi. That will be the running pressure of the pump, and the maximum opening of the discharge valve.
