wow, i guess this must be a glitch..I have the same problem. But now I have a dumb question...Is the fis to just go out and buy another cord that you plug into your computer to charge the nano? Is that the usb?

I have the same issue! Is the usb cord the cord that came with the nano that you use to charge the unit?

Have you tried this??
-Turn the hold button on and then off.
-Reset the ipod (press menu and center until the apple logo appears)

Do the five r's:
These are for Nano, but they apply to all iPods:
Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, Restore
Remember these five basic suggestions if you have a problem with your iPod nano. If
one of the following doesn’t help, read on for solutions to specific problems.
â Reset your iPod nano. See “General Suggestions,” below.
â Retry with a different USB port if you cannot see iPod nano in iTunes.
â Restart your computer and make sure you have the latest software updates
installed.
â Reinstall iPod and iTunes software from the latest versions on the web.
â Restore your iPod nano. See “Updating and Restoring iPod Software” on page whatever.

Ipod nano 3rd generation and 1st generation nano

The first question I'm not sure. Is that the wireless network system that works with the wall outlets for power and networking?

The answer to the second question is No. You can only transfer playlists from ITunes into the IPod. Make sure your playlists are created in ITues before transferring.
