PLystation memory card read error

When I go to insert a memory card and I go to the browser screen, it says "no data" what do I do

sorry if you cannot get your memory card working if the games saves insides. then here is some tips..

1: try and lick the memory card in which is the metal slot: which goes into ps2.. not too wet or it wont work :

2: if else nothing work then formatting the memory card will be the answer and it wont play your saved game: it cleared the whole memory into nothing : until you have to try the game from the very beginning..

3: formatting your memory card by getting the action replay max disk: load it and the load the memory card selection : then press square to formatting...

The prongs may be broken inside the card or ps2. if not its software and your ps2 is done you might try reformatting but idk how to call sony

It might be due to a bad contact of the placed memorycard.

1. Pull the memorycard out and in the camera several times and retry.
2. If not OK, format the card in the camera. If that does not work, format it in the computer.
3. Try another memorycard and recheck.

Overcoming with SD card "write error"

SD cards are flash memory devices which allow a user to store huge amount of data. Being reliable and durable, these cards have become the hot choice to store data and are used in various host devices like digital camera, PDAs, video game consoles, MP3 players etc. Despite so many advantages, these cards are also prone to errors. Most of these errors occur due to reasons like interruption in read/write process, virus attacks or file system corruption. While some SD card errors can be dealt by cleaning the contacts of the card and re-inserting it, others can be rectified by formatting the card. After formatting, the SD card data can be retrieved by using either a valid backup or SD card recovery software.

Consider a situation, you have taken your family to an exotic locale and while clicking pictures through your digital camera (which is using a SD card) you witness an error on its LCD screen:

“Write error”
The above error is not rare in case of SD cards. The moment the error erupts, the data stored on the SD card becomes inaccessible. Moreover, the SD card becomes useless as you can't even store new data on it.

Cause
The above error which rendered the SD card ineffectual can be accounted to corruption. The other reason can be relatively less memory space to accommodate new data.

Resolution
In order to rectify 'write error', you can try the following possible techniques:

Turn the camera off, re-insert the card and then turn it on again
If you are still not able to access the data, connect the camera to a computer
You can use a card reader to access the SD card data
In grim situations where nothing of the above works, format the SD card and restore the data using a backup

After formatting, the SD card becomes functional and can perform read/write operation. If a backup of the data is corrupted or invalid, you can rely on a SD card recovery software. A SD card recovery tool employs improved scanning algorithms to extract data in the event of corruption.

PNY micro small piece inserted in mobile phone and adapter to the computer, but not copy mobile phone pictures to the computer.

for reliability buy a dedicated micro sd reader as not all the adapters work.

8g sd card doesnt work on jvc camcorder...it says card error

Each camera have maximum memory card to be readable. If the memory capacity is to high from the limit, the camera will hard to write the data inside the card and said that "card error".
Try to insert memory card with lower capacity (4 or 2 GB) and read the user manual to know optimum memory card for your device.

Playstation 2 won't play DVDs

if it's a fat PS2 and
model SCPH 30001, SCPH 35001
(not including the models with an 'R' after the model #.

these models need the following to play DVDs:
- PS2 DVD remote with IR unit
- PS2 DVD disc player (sold with DVD remote w/ IR unit)
- PS2 memory card

you copied the DVD disc to the memory card. you used the memory card to play DVDs.

later models didn't need the memory card to play DVDs.

You may try to format the memory card and then try again. If needed, you can use a camera photo recovery tool to recover photos from memory card.

Try this... if you have another Mem card then insert it in second slot and start Sony browser now copy your save game data form Mem card 1 to Mem card 2. Place the second mem card in first slot and start game now load your game. Best of luck.

You can take out the memory card from camera and then download a memory card recovery software to recover photos from memory card, you can refer to this tutorial that helped me before

If needed, you may do a quick format of the memory card and then use asoftech data recovery to recover your files.

This error message indicates that the memory card in the camera is write-protected. To take a picture, turn off the camera and insert a new card, or change the storage location to internal memory.
